"Mr. Sovan," Ms. Buarary crossed her arms in front of my desk. "Something you and Mr. Benson would like to share?"
"No?" It was more as a question than a response.
"Then put your phones away," she watched as we opened our backpacks and slid our phones in. "Now, as I was saying..." She went off about Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet.
Buzz buzz
I quietly and quickly pulled out my phone and looked at the message from Sam.
So, are you going to do it?
I don't know Sam...
After all that pep talking I gave you last night?
Sam, what if I put it in the wrong locker?
Your lockers are next to each other's!
But Sam what if I get caught?
You won't be, I'm standing lookout remember?
Fine. After class then.
Good. After class had ended, I took out the folded piece of paper and picked up the bag and slung it on my shoulder.
"Andy, let's go do the thing," he put his arm around me and pulled me out of the room.
We walked around the corner towards my locker. I quickly hid back behind the corner.
"She's there," I told Sam. I could feel my breath picking up as I started to panic.
"Crap, I'll distract her," Sam patted my back and slid up to her all "smooth" like. His long dirty blond hair got in his mouth as he was talking to her. She shut her locker and started to tell him about what she thought was a great conversation topic, herself.
I quietly walked up to his locker and slipped the note in and gave Sam a thumbs up and walked to lunch. I felt shaky and I took a shaky breath.
I sat at the table with my friends.
"So, where's Mr. Drum Major?" Annie questioned as I sat down.
"Stuck talking to Chelsea," I pulled out my left over soup and started to eat. "He was distracting her for me."
"Oh so you were able to get it in his locker?" Danny asked smiling.
"Yeah, I was," I smiled and looked down. "I'm nervous though."
"Don't be!" Jessica said. "You two would be adorable together, I mean the color guard captain and the captain of the varsity football team. I mean come on, I've already written a fanfiction of you too!"
I looked at her and asked "Why?"
"I think you guys would be amazing together!" She tried to justify her point.
"Well, I don't know how Mason will react to it," I sighed.
