It's a typical monday, I'm in the Tea house near our village, chilling after a tiring day from school. I ordered my usual drink. A large wintermelon. 50% less sugar.
I was reading the new book I bought then I saw a familiar face approaching...
Janine. My highschool friend in Poveda. Juami's cousin.
"Hey Sammy! Didn't expect to see you here again. How have you been?"
"Why? I live near. I'm great. You?"
"I'm fine. I'm going to meet Alice. Maybe you could join us. We'll meet the gang. They really miss you already. Specially, you know who."
I am not willing to listen to anything Janine has left to say so I fished for my phone in my bag. Wow. 20 texts and 12 missed calls. One from a blockmate asking me if I could make a powerpoint for our Social Psych class, one from Angela reminding me about the essays we have to finish by Wednesday and a couple of texts from Gabby.
Gabby:
Where are you?
Why are you not picking up your phone? I'm worried
Samantha where on earth are you??
My phone suddenly beeped again it's Andy.
Andrew:
Your lover boy won't stop bugging me where you are. Please magpakita ka na Sam :P
Jeron's probably so pissed off at me now. Pati si Andy kinukulit nya. But how can I forget? I am supposed to meet Jeron today! Magtatampo na naman yun. Guess I was too occupied with school stuff earlier. Someone tell me why did I choose this course again? Oh. Where are my manners. I keep on ranting but I haven't introduced myself yet. Hi guys! I'm Maria Samantha Gonzales 17, 2nd year AB Psychology student from La Salle. And yes, FUTURE girlfriend po ako ng nag-iisang Gabriel Tan. Okay, that sounds swanky. Nevermind. Where was I? Ah yeah. Gabby and I seldom see each other since he started training again. Lalo na ngayon, start na ng second round and they're on fifth place. Kaya when he asks me on a date, attendance is a must.
I decided to bid goodbye to Janine.
"Next time maybe Janine, I have to go now. Forgot I was going to meet someone today."
"For sure that's Gab. Tell me when you're free. I still have the same number. It was really nice seeing you again Sam!"
"Okay. Nice seeing you again too."
I decided to call Gabby. He answered after a few rings.
"Hello? Sam? God. You got me real worried. Thought you're going to wait for me at the AP? Elle said you already left immediately after class."
"You really sound like dad. Pareho kayong OA. I'm just here sa Serenitea, near our village."
"Whatever Sam. Don't leave okay? I'll be there in 20 minutes."
