"Ashton!! Ashton wake up!" I was now violently shaking Ashton's shoulders. That boy could sleep through world war three!

"Whaaaat" he groaned rubbing his eyes. I ran to the window.

"Look outside! Look it's snowing!" I'm pretty sure my grin was so wide I looked like Jeff the killer; especially with no makeup on!

He got out of bed and steadied himself before walking to join me at the window. He placed his arms either side of my body on the windowsill. I blushed a little. The snow was blowing away from the window so it wasn't blocking our view.

"Isn't it beautiful?" I turned to face him. It turns out we were closer together then expected. He just looked down at me with his stupid cute smile that I love so much. Wait I didn't say that!!

"Sure is..." He moved his hands so I could get past. "We should probably get ready, last classes of the year" he smiled as I walked to the bathroom to get ready.

Once I was ready I was already late for class. Everyone gave me the oh-my-god-it's-that-girl look as I joined the back of the group.

There was only one girl in the class who liked me and her name is Maya, she's just moved here from China. I'm glad someone apart from the guys likes me.

"H-hello" she smiled.

"Hey" I whispered so that madam Faye didn't hear.

Class droned on for another hour and a half of me being corrected. Let's face it my mom is going to kill me when madam Faye gets in touch with her.

Calum was waiting for me outside class. I had arranged for us to go ice skating at the local rink in an attempt to finally drown the awkwardness out. I mean Calum's not that bad. Right?

"Let me just get changed and then we can go" I said walking to the changing rooms.

"That's the guys one again!" Calum yelled from behind me. I stopped and turned toward the girls changing room smiling to myself.

"Now would probably be a good time to mention I have never ice skated before in my life." Calum mumbled while tying up his skates.

"You what!" I stood up finding my balance. "How?!"

"I was more of a football kind of guy."

I held my hands out and helped him stand up. He seemed to be okay but then again, we hadn't even gotten onto the ice yet.

I stepped onto the ice and watched as Calum shuffled his way towards the entrance.

"Just take it slow for now okay?" I held my hand out to help him down the step. His other hand never left the side of the rink. "You're doing it look!" I clapped while he looked at his feet in awe.

I began skating in small circles while I waited for him to get used to the ice.

"Show off" he muttered under his breath.

"I'm sorry, you're talking to a dancer here Mr Hood! Balance is my life." I chuckled and put my hands on my hips.

It took about 20 minutes before Cal was even confident enough to let go of the edge. I stood in front of him and took his hands. As he skated forward I slowly skated backwards so I could stay in front of him to help.

"I'm way too manly and big for this" he groaned trying to get off the ice.

"Don't be such a downer... I mean look at that guy" I pointed to a ginger man who was much bigger than Calum and definitely more manly. He smiled watching the man try to skate.

"I'm gonna stay here for a minute, show me what you got" Calum smirked nodding to the central area of the rink where there were only a few people; the professionals.

After protesting for a while and realising I was getting nowhere I skated to the middle. I was nowhere near as good as some of the guys and girls doing spins in the air and that move where you bob down but stick your leg out. I mean how can you do that?!

I did a few spins and other moves I learned from ballet class before making my way to join Calum again.

"Okay I'm all skated out, how about a hot chocolate at the café down the street?" It was dumb question really, I mean who turns down hot chocolate?!

"I really enjoyed today Calum thank you for giving me a chance to show I'm not a massive asshole like I have been to you."

"Don't even worry about it I'm just happy to know you don't actually hate me."

"You're too kind to hate."

After I left Calum I came up to the room to begging packing for Christmas break, I packed my dance clothes and my stuff from the bathroom before Ashton walked in. He was pissed off.

"Uhm Ashton? You okay?" His jaw was tensed and he was punching things.

"Fuck!" He punched more stuff.

"Okay time out buddy!" I stood between him and the wall.

"Move out the way!"

"I'm not moving Ashton"

In his eyes he didn't even look himself. He looked like he'd lost who he was. Without hesitation his hand met my cheek then my body met the floor.

"Fuck shit Danny I'm so sorry I-"

I raised my hand to my face with tears in my eyes. I don't know what's come over him, he was never like this before...

I fled the room tears falling. Once I got out the building I let my body drop to the floor. The flood of tears continued.

After about a minute or so I felt a pair of hands- much more gentle than how Ashton was- on my arms.

"Danny? What's wrong? Are you okay?" The distressed character pulled me close as I continued to cry on their shoulder, still processing the past events.

The person was Maya. She looked terrified. I scrambled to my feet and wiped my eyes.

"Oh my- your face!" Her hands flung to her mouth to keep in her squeals of horror.

"It's nothing really I'm okay" I tried to walk past her.

"No."

"What?"

"No you're not. Let me help you."

After a bit of persuasion she led me to the nurses office.

"I fell"
