"Oh my stars!" Peridot yelps as she jumps from her seat. "You don't have to if you don't want to" Calvin says. "No, just give me a minute" Peridot says, walking into the barn. Peridot comes out a minute later "I'm sorry" she says "I can't". Calvin sighs " it's ok, it's your choice not mine" he finishes with a look of disappointment. "Good night Peridot..." Calvin says walking into the barn. "Good...night?" Peridot says. As Calvin is out of hearing distance "why do I feel so nervous when I'm around him?" Peridot asks herself, feeling frustrated. Sighing, Peridot takes out her tape recorder. "Log date 7 3 1 2, it's the end of July, tomorrow will be August, it appears that Calvin has asked me to fuse with me. I don't know why he asked, but I felt to nervous and said I couldn't do it. He seemed disappointed. I don't know why, but I have seem to get nervous when he's near me. Tomorrow I will be getting my, as they say, crystal gem uniform. I will admit I'm curious to see what it looks like, I feel like I hurt Calvin's feelings tonight, I hope he still thinks of me as his friend. Peridot out" she says as she finishes her log. Peridot sighs as she puts her tape recorder away. "What's wrong Peridot?" Steven asks "I think I may have hurt Calvin's feeling" Peridot answers. "Whaaaaaattttt?" Steven says. "Yes, I might have hurt his feelings". Peridot says " although I don't know how I hurt his feelings ". "Well, maybe you can find that out tomorrow" Steven says he yawns "Good night". "Good night Steven" Peridot says as she waves goodbye. Peridot breathes in and breathes out, trying to calm herself, with no luck. "What's wrong with me?" She asks herself "Why do i feel...upset?". Shaking her head from side to side, Peridot tries to clear her thoughts. Pearl and Garnet watches this all from a distance. "She has been different since Calvin joined us" Pearl says "I wonder why". "Don't worry" Garnet says "she'll find out soon enough".
