Home (Season 3)

I found out that Tyler was still in the building...he never came out. Yet they never found any bodies, not yet anyways. But that's a good thing right? That means they could still be alive, right? Anyways, they sent everyone home for a week or two, calling up family or friends, anyone that would take anyone really. Kit and Gold wouldn't say anything to the cops about family or friends so I asked if they could say with us. So here I am, currently riding in the back seat of the car with Adam driving, Seto in the passenger seat, Kit and Gold sitting with me, the same memory playing over and over in my head as I continue to stare out the window.

"So, are you okay?" Adam asks, trying to make conversation out of the awkward silence that plagued the air around us.

"My brothers dead, how do you think I am?" I say without looking at him.

"That's not true, I mean there's a small chance he's still alive right!?" He yells, trying to lighten the mood.

"Small chance my ass." I lean my head against the cold window and sigh, my breath fogging the glass.

It had started to rain a few moments ago, the weather perfectly matching my mood right now. Everywhere you looked there was a light fog a few feet away. I watched as small droplets silently fell onto the glass and slowly made its way down till it couldn't be seen. I remember when I was little I would watch the droplets and pretend they were in a race, the first raindrop to make it to the bottom won. (Did anyone else do this or still does this?)

"Hey Derp..." I can hear Gold quietly talk to me, gently tapping me on the shoulder.

"What do you want." I say, no emotion noticeable in my voice.

"I'm sorry, I was just playing around with the lighter and..." He trails off at the end.

I slowly turn my head to look at him, I stare for a minute before talking, "I wouldn't fall asleep if I were you." I say before going back to staring out the window.

Out of the corner of my eye I can see Seto looking at me in concern, and as soon as I look at him he turns away.

After a few minutes of complete silence, the car stops outside of our house, and everyone climbs out of the vehicle. Seto quickly and silently rushes inside with his head down, everyone else taking their time, especially me. I get out of the car and look up at the sky, the rain pouring down on me making my clothes and hair wet. I didn't even bother to close the car door since I knew Gold would get out on my side, which he did. I could tell he was standing there looking at me as he got out and slowly closed the door, Kit getting out on the other side.

"Derp, I-" Gold didn't get to finish as I instantly turned around and pushed him up against the car, holding tightly onto his shirt so he can't get away.

"Derp, let him go!" Adam yelled at me, I growl and he backs away afraid to come any closer.

I stare at Gold for a second, his eyes widened with a mix of fear, sadness, and worry. I narrow my eyes at him, my hands shaky as I held him to the car, his feet dangling. Kit and Adam were close by, frozen in place, waiting for something to happen...and in all honesty, I didn't know what was going to happen either. I take in a deep breath, let it out shakily before letting him go and backing away slightly. Adam seems to visible relax somewhat and comes closer, but before any of them could come near me, I unexpectedly bitch slap Gold right across the face, like really hard. Adam who was, at the time, close to him grabs his arm and holds him up so he doesn't fall over. Gold opens his mouth to say something, but I turn around and walk away before he has the chance.

As I open the door, the whole room suddenly goes quiet and everyone looks at me. I try to ignore the stares and just sit down on the couch, soon they continue to talk like nothing happened. A few seconds later, Adam comes in with Gold clinging onto his shoulder for dear life, Kit nervously walking in behind them. Ty jumps up and rushes over to help Gold, both of them helping the idiot to the couch. Right. Beside. Me.
