Well!  I just realized I haven't updated in years on here, so I thought I would do this becuase I really liked this entry!

So you might know how many writer games I am in, and I am mostly writing for those instead of on my profile! So I thought I would maybe every once and a while post a task or two that I really like in this so people can still see my writing :D

So this entry is for Alea Welch who is in Ghost's (whatever your new username is) game, So I really liked this entry so here it is! :D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The birds flew away, the battle finally done.
And only two careers remained in the arena.
“So it seems like you’ve managed to kill off every one of the careers now but me, not like your going to be able to kill me.” Pebbles sneers as she strips the bark off a twig to make kindling for a fire to cook the game she had found earlier.
“Pebbles, do me a favor and stop talking or I’ll skip you in a lake of your own blood.” Alea spat bitterly not even turning to face the small girl squatted by a pile of wood.
Alerting both girls from the fire, Fillius faces down at the tributes for the sky. Knowing it will only be a warning about the terrifying mutt that will come to attack them, the two girls ignore it, but the sudden smell was quite surprising to the girls, causing them both to fall back in shock.
“A hallucination. Well how can this day get any better?” Alea muttered going to stand up, but her legs turned into jelly and she crumpled to the ground, eyes rolling into her head like she was possessed.
~
You open your eyes and find yourself surrounded by trees, not anywhere near the cornucopia. And Pebbles is no where in sight. Staying calm. you just continue walking ahead, knowing that Parabella must of just went off to get food for later, and she would be back any moment. The forest seemed to be never ending in all directions, pine trees towering above your head, the tops although barely visible seemingly poking the sky. Erie silence settles like a blanket over the forest, as the chirping of birds and faint buzz of insects all come to a stop. Every step on the ground sounds like a bomb going off, but despite the noise you continue on the path.
Then out of nowhere, a twig snaps.
You whip out your weapon and hold it in front of your face as your breath starts to shorten. the enemy could be anywhere in this huge forest, and if right on que a thick fog settles over the area as your visibility decreases to nothing. Trying to stay calm and keep your composure, you swat back and forth through the wet and clingy fog to prove to yourself that it was just an animal, not an actual tribute until it happens again.
Snap. Rustle. Charge.
The short shadow comes out of no where, running at full speed and knocking you to the ground. sending your small fragile weapon sailing into the air. you scream in agony as the mysterious blob forces your shoulders behind your head, pinning you down in the matter of seconds. Thrashing like a fish out of water, you try to reach for the glint of sliver that must be your weapon, but the shadow has overpowered you, clogging your lungs as you struggle to breath, clawing at the shadows strong arms to try and throw them off, and finally you do.
You leap off the ground and slide towards your weapon, hoping it’s still there as your hand comes in contact with the sharp cool slice of sharp metal. Cursing as you grab the handle of your weapon, standing up to find yourself once again surrounded by fog. Spinning from right and left, you watch for the shadow to come back for more, knowing that this time you will be ready. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a blur within the solid wall of the fog and you leap towards it, smiling with glee as you hit matter, sending the shadow flat on it’s back.
Time to put on your war paint.
Taking a jab at what seems to be the shadow’s chest, you feel it flinch and quiver as you sink the fan, twisting and turning to create a large gash in it. Removing yourself from the fight, you stalk the shadow as it’s your turn to be the element of surprise, and your turn to take down the shadow. But all of a sudden, you fell a jab in your right side as you breath in, adrenaline rushing into your system as you kick out your let, coming into the contact with a hard object, a faint cracking noise drawing you in closer to the enemy as you jump on the ground, landing on top squiggly flesh as you get a hard grunt out of the shadow. For kicks, you decide do jump again but what happens when you land is more of a less expected outcome. The ground is hard, sending a jolt throughout your body as causing you to crumple to the ground, greeting you a dagger sliced right between your ribs. Crying out in pain, you frantically slash around with your weapon hoping to hit flesh, but fog is the only thing affected in the slashing.
“Sugar, were going down”
A voice whispers in her ear as everything goes quiet, the fog clears out and all that comes in view is a pair of boots, short pudgy legs sticking out of them. worriedly you make your way up until you find yourself staring right into a dagger, at first it seemed far away, but it quickly came closer to you and before you could move, it was lodged into your skull.
~
From behind the trees, Alea Welsh let out a muffled screech as she saw the dagger fall right into the girls skull. Her skull. Trying to wrap around her head that she would make a silly mistake like that was hard, but as the shadow started to turn around her head pounded as bright dancing purple lights pulsed in her vision. Parabella Bluestone turned around laughing slyly and walking away, Alea running after her to see what would happen next. “And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!” Parabella sneered as she picked up speed, probably off to win the huger games.
~
“Alea! ALEA! ALEA SNAP OUT OF IT!” Parabella screamed as Alea jolted to a sitting position, breathing in greats gulps of air.
“Get...away...from...me...” Alea said in between gasps as she tried to push herself away.
“What?” Parabella said trying to run closer and help her up.
“I said get away from me!” Alea screamed holding out her fan and standing up.
“Alea, I’m not going to kill you! get over here the food is done!” Parabella shouted turning around.
“Not yet, but you will. And when you do I will be ready.” Alea said as she slowly walked towards the slowly dying fire. Parabella Bluestones future words still blasting repeat in the back of her mind.
She walked closer to their camp site.
“And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!”
Parabella sat there, innocently holding out food like she would never betray her. “And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!”
But Alea knew she would.
“And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!”
Parabella held the meat out further.
“And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!”
And when Pebbles was going to kill her.
“And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!"
Alea would be ready, she had learned from her mistakes.
“And she though she would kill me, well wont that show her!"
Because she can’t just trade all her tomorrows for just one yesterday.
