My Brothers Bestfriend and the horse that changed my life.

Chapter 2

I lead spartan into the indoor arena and put him next to the mounting block, do up his girth nice and tight and do a double check on everything. I put my helmet on and get up onto the mounting block. I put my left foot in the stirrup and swing my right leg over and put my butt on the saddle. I put my right food in my stirrup then collect my reigns. 

I squeeze him into a nicely paced walk then into a trot then into a canter.

"He is such a beautiful horse to ride!" I yell to mum. She stands there smiling and filming me with her Iphone 5. I walk back to where my mum is standing and ask her if she can set up some jumps for me. She said yes and i watch as she sets up 3 jumps to around 80cm high. I squeeze Spartan into a smooth canter and we fly over the jumps one at a time. He never put a foot wrong! I cool Spartan down in the arena then trot back to mum and dismount. I swing the reins over his head and loosen his girth and start walking back to his stall. 

I take his saddle, saddle pad and bridle off then put them into his tack locker. I grab my grooming kit and start brushing him down. I finish brushing spartan then kiss and hug him goodbye and tell mum it's time to go.  We walk to the car and get in. I put the radio on and my favourite song comes on -Australia Street by Sticky Fingers. I smile then put my seatbelt on then start the car. I pull out of the parking space and start driving home. It's party time! :)

I pull into our drive way and turn the car off. I get out then give the keys to mum. I walk inside only to be greeted by my two best friends, Mele and Liv. They start singing Happy birthday to me and I start laughing at their, also horrible, singing. They push me upstairs to start getting ready for my birthday party. 

Mum yelled,

"Dad and I are leaving now. We will see you tomorrow night. Love you!"  

"Okay bye, love you and thanks!" I yell back. 

I quickly jump in the shower and wash my body and my hair so I don't smell like horse. While I was in the shower, Mele and Liv got ready in my bedroom. I walk out of my ensuite bathroom and Mele and Liv look fabulous. They are both in Black strapless dresses and black high heels. Mele's dress has a diamond on her upper waist though. They both have make up on with red lipstick and curled hair. Mele has black hair and Liv has red hair. 

They point to my walk in closet, so I walk in and I see a strapless red dress with black heels underneath where it is hanging. I put the dress on and look in the mirror. I look HOT. 

I open my door and walk out. Mele and Liv's jaws drop,

"I knew you would  look good in this!" Mele said. Liv passes me a little golden square package.  I look at it and back up at them.

"What is this?" 

"'It's protection for tonight. When Luke sees you in that dress, he will wanna get in," replied Mele. I laughed and pushed her shoulder. I have always had a big crush on Luke but since he is my brothers best friend, I didn't think he would go out with me or show any interest in me. I check my new gold Iphone 5s to see what time it is. It reads 5:10pm. The party is supposed to start at 6:30pm. Mele and Liv drag me to a chair in front of my desk where they have set up my makeup and hair products. 

"Make up time!" squealed Mele. Liv started brushing and straightening my hair while Mele did my make up. They finally finished after what seemed to be forever and 

I stood up and went to look in the mirror to see the finished product. 

Mele and Liv stand  beside me in the mirror 

"I look so hot. Thanks guys" I said to Mele and Gabi and we exchange a loving hug. I check my phone one more time and the clock, this time, reads 6pm. 

"I am going to go and see if everything is set up downstairs" I said to the girls. 

"Okay" they both answer and started talking about something - probably guys. I carefully walk downstairs in my high heels and when I get to the bottom of the stairs I am greeted by Justin and Luke. Luke starts looking me up and down and looks at me straight in the eye and says 

"You look nice," I start to blush, hard. 

Justin comes closer and squeezes my cheeks and says,

"Aww look, baby Gabi has finally grown up." I hit his hands off my face and ask "Is all the shit ready for tonight?" 

"Yeah I have set up snacks and drinks in the kitchen, and speakers all around the house, some in the backyard and 2 by the pool." says Luke. 

"Thanks for doing all that" I reply.

"No problems".

I walk back up stairs into my room and tell Mele and Liv about Luke and how he looked me up and down.

"Omg he definitely likes you, Gabi" Liv said. 

"Yeah I hope so." 

*Ding Dong*

The doorbell rings and we walk down stairs to see who was outside. I opened the door and it was Arianna, Juliette, Sarah, Sophie and some other girls from our year. We greet them with a hug and they all give me a present and I say 'thank you' to each one. We invite them inside and I yell to Justin to start the music and get the real party started.
