The general types of roleplay are SCRIPT and DESCRIPTIVE.

SCRIPT- Script RP is generally shorter, and usually doesn't have a line requirement. Actions are general put between two *.

Example V
(Character Name): *smiles* hi there!

DESCRIPTIVE- Descriptive RP is generally much longer than Script RP, and depending on the person who you are roleplaying the amount of lines you have to type out will vary. It is written in complete, and, as the name suggests, descriptive, sentences, as if you are writing a book.

Example V

(Character Name) smiled sweetly at (other character name), giving a greeting of "Hi there!"
