Chapter 1

The End

[Deadlox]

"I forgot my helmet again..."

I heard Jason curse under his breath. "Again?" I sighed. I hoped that this wasn't becoming a normal habit of his. He was old enough to be responsible for his own gear, and for his own safety. I took off my iron helmet and handed it to him.

"Thanks man" he said quietly.

I just nodded. I didn't feel safe being exposed in the middle of The End without full armor on.

I saw Sky wave his arms from behind a huge pillar. I waved by arms back and have my fingers into a triangle sign meaning, is it safe? He peeked around the corner to look and replied with a thumbs-up meaning, yes.

I nodded and motioned Jason to follow close behind. I snuck around the corner with some extra food, my knife, and Jason, then proceeded to run over to Sky. "We have incoming!" Jason shouted, as we ran over to a giant obsidian pillar that Sky was standing at.

We opened an underground trapdoor, buried in the sand, that led inside of the pillar, and then climbed inside while Sky closed the door above us. We proceeded to climb the spiral staircase till we got to the top. I was about to open another trapdoor on the top, when I heard Jason go,

"wait guys!" Sky and I turned to see what he wanted. Jason waved us over and pointed to an obsidian looking cubby against the inside of the pillar. We all nodded and stored our supplies into the cubby, hoping an endermen wouldn't come and steal our stuff like last time.

I rolled out my rope ladder, and we climbed to the top of the pillar. I opened a heavy trapdoor and climbed out from the inside. I stood up and looked around. We could see the entire End dimension from up here. All of the endermen looked like teeny tiny specks from all the way up here. Time seemed to stand still in the End. Nothing ever really happened. There wasn't that much you could do in another world made of sand and the empty world of abyss surrounding you. At least that's what I thought.

Yeah, you had to be carful with all of the hostile mobs, but hey, was a dragon is a space-like dimension even physically possible? Didn't sound right to me, but oh well.

The two others and I quickly destroyed the glowing purple crystals and then set our bags down. Sky sat on his pack and heaved a sigh. I knew why. The Enderdragon. We had destroyed all the crystals, but the dragon kept coming after us. That's why we hid. Being on top of the pillar might not be the brightest idea but, we didn't have many options left.

I looked up at Jason who had just began talking to Sky about something."Did you see those two endermen?" Jason asked with suspicion. We shook our heads. "Oh yeah" Sky added. "They were some how talking to one another" Jason said again. "Most likely deciding who to kill first" I stated with a hint of laughter in my voice.

Sky laughed and Jason just smiled.

I has spotted some endermen below and was planing to ask Sky if it would be safe to go back down to shoot them. I guess he knew what I was thinking because he shook his head furiously. "Why not?" I asked him. "I just-" he sighed. "Just please be safe, ok?" he asked. I nodded. "I'll try" I ran down the winding stairs and threw open the trapdoor, trying not to cause to much noise. I shuffled my feet in the sandy ground and took a deep breath. I looked around and didn't see anything. I softly ran behind another close pillar and crouched down. I followed the endermen in a squat for quite some time when I pulled out my bow, ready to aim when, Poof! They vanished. I looked around, confused. Where did they go? I looked up. Ugh. They had teleported to the top of another pillar and it was to late to get up there without them noticing me and running away again.

I hear screaming from above. Sky. I run as fast as I can to the trapdoor and try to pull it open. It won't budge. I tug again. Nothing. Then I can finally make out what Sky is saying. "RUN!" he screams. "RUN TY, RUN!" I take off running. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. The sound gets closer and closer untill it roars in my ears. I look back and see two huge glowing, purple eyes. I turn back around and run again, then dig my heels in the sand to try to stop. I'm at the edge of the end and I'm falling. I begin to fall into the void, grabbing onto the ender sand. I can't keep a grip, and fall and a pair of glowing white eyes follow me down into the darkness.
