His hands tremble slightly as he grips his black ink pen ever so tightly. Jackson begins to look around his room nervously before beginning to write. Multiple questions run through his mind.. Should I do this?
Will anyone get my message? Will anyone even care?He takes a deep breathe in
Then out
As he begins to write... Hey everyone, if you by chance stumble upon this letter.. It means I am gone. Where too? I am quite unsure. Life after death has always been a mystery to me but once I see what this fantasy holds for me I will be sure to send you a signal, just to let you know that I am finally okay. Please do not mourn over me, in fact... I want you to celebrate. Do all of the things I was to scared to do. Being someone who is scared of everything, I know that's asking a lot of you but I believe that it can all be accomplished
Just not by me. When I was born, I was destined to be a failure. That is what I know now. That is what living my life up to this point has shown me. I would write more...
Give you all some sort of answers to your questions you will have.
Yet, I can't answer what I do not know. I am not sorry it had to be this way, your lives will be much better off without me. Trust me. I'll see you when I see you.-Jackson Hughes-
Jackson gently places his pen at the top of his worn notepad before he stands.
He heads across his room and begins to open his window
He looks down and calculates whether the jump will surely kill him but for some reason everything seems off to him
He turns around to walk away from the window
Maybe now isn't the right time to go.. He whispers to himself
In that moment
As he takes another deep breath
A shot rings out
Then everything goes black.
