Author's Note: Hey guys, this one shot will start after the one shot of the show (get it? Eh??? Too soon? Alright.) Hope you guys enjoy.
----------------------------------------Titus slowly raises the gun to Clarke's field of vision as he breathes heavily. The object he holds in his hand is barely recognizable to him except as being the reason why he has lost many brothers to Skaikru. It is only fair that Wanheda is killed the same way. Blood must have blood. The commander will realize this if I kill the one she cares for, Titus thinks.
Clarke struggles to try and free Murphy from the ropes Titus has tied him to the chair with as his prisoner.
"Please don't do that."
She looks back to ask him to help her only to be confronted with the gun. She immediately gets up, holding her hands up peacefully in surrender.
"Titus, what is this about?" Clarke's eyes plead for his explanation. Titus walks over to her slowly.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this, Clarke." With each step he takes towards her, another step she takes backwards, "truly I am." Clarke knows that his threat is sincere. Murphy stole from the Grounders, and that would be subject to death but Lexa said "Blood must not have blood." Along with these thoughts, she wonders if he even knows how to operate a handgun. Maybe he's just threatening me.
"Look," Clarke starts, preparing to leave, "I'm leaving right now. Octavia's waiting for me." Titus' confidence wavers a little as her name is mentioned, causing him to lower his gun momentarily. Octavia's considered Tri Kru. She would kill me if I shot her.
"Just let me take Murphy and we'll go." For a brief moment, it seems as if Titus agreed with Clarke. But it was too late to turn back.
"Wish I could," he says softly, raising his firearm once again and causing the fear to start to show in Clarke's eyes. She should've known that her life never can be too good to be true. There always has to be something to ruin it. It's like my life is some sort of sick TV show with a batshit writer at the helm.
"Lexa will never execute her duty while you live. " As Titus said this, you could hear the distress in his voice. No one had ever affected or influenced Lexa as much as Clarke had. Not even Costia.
"Titus, think," Clarke says, pleading with Titus to see her reasoning, "She's gonna know it was you." But Titus has already thought this through, and there's no turning back.
Titus, think. She's gonna know it was you. "She'll think it was him," he gestures to Murphy who is helplessly tied to his seat, "Skaikru weapon in the hands of a Skaikru thief." He cocks the gun and smiles at a new thought that has appeared to him.
"She might even be angry enough to declare war!"
The first shot was not even close. What could you expect? It was Titus' first shot with a Skaikru weapon. The second shot rings, hitting over a lamp. Clarke quickly throws a chair at him in order to distract him. The third shot barely misses Clarke, who is running away from the angry Grounder.
Unfortunately, the shot hits someone else. Lexa, who was coming in to check on the gunshots. Her eyes widen in shock and she looks down to see blood.
"Leksa," Titus breathes out, dropping the gun. Clarke picks Lexa up bridal-style, which she knows from previous instances that she is not only a light-weight when it comes to drinking but also is surprisingly light.
"What have I done?"
Luckily, a healer was down the hall with both Skaikru and Trikru ailments and heard the shots. Lexa, still conscious, looks down and pulls the bullet out of her body. She starts to groan in pain, and Clarke mutters a barely audible, "Shit."
"I need something to stop the bleeding." Clarke sees the fear of the unknown in Lexa's eyes and runs one of her hands through her hair.
"Don't be afraid. You're gonna be fine."
Clarke kisses Lexa on the forehead swiftly, causing the healer to turn his head in confusion.
"Got a problem with us being happy?"
The healer, named Jason, stutters and looks down before handing her a vial and a cloth. Jason has a problem with making others happy if it gets in the way of him being happy, which is when he kills off lesbians with stray bullets in his screenplays he writes. He's kind of an asshole.
"Alright, Commander, this will sting a little." Clarke takes a rag with alcohol and presses it gently. Lexa's back arches and she releases a sharp exhale along with some curse words in Trigedasleng.
Clarke chuckles at her.... What are they anyways? Clarke soon remembers the unrealistic situation that would never happen realistically and she
"Hey, Heda, don't you dare give up."
"I'm not," Lexa explains, "my spirit will live on."
"There's nothing you can do now."
There's plenty Clarke can do. She is is the capital of the people who kept Shish Kabob Jasper alive after he was speared all the way through his body. Also, other Grounders like Lincoln have survived gunshots. Lexa can survive this little wound.
"The next commander will protect you."
"I don't want the next commander, I want you." Clarke holds her face as she's in tears as Jason laughs in the background.
Clark bends down to whisper in Lexa's ear. "Osir gonplei nou ste odon nowe."
Clarke looks behind her to see Titus holding a scalpel and a box with a skull on it.
"What the hell? You've done enough."
"It's time for me to remove the spirit," Titus says, referring to the box.
Murphy, who finally freed himself, stumbles over to the other room where the others are. He traces his finger along the outline of "the spirit" in the box, causing him to realize what it truly is. He recognizes that design, and the drawing on the walls and Jaha only confirm his suspicions.
"It's an AI." Titus closes the box on Murphy's hands and glares at him.
"Wrong, it's the spirit of the commander."
Meanwhile, while the boys are being boys, Clarke has been fixing the one she loves.
She puts a cold cloth soaked and water on Lexa's forehead to soothe the Heda, who has stopped seizing and is no longer losing that much blood. Clarke notices this and smiles, causing Lexa to smile in turn, a tint of red appearing to her cheeks.
Clarke covers her wound, no thanks to Jason, who's muttering in a corner about "wanting to be original".
"I'm proud of you, Heda," Clarke says, holding her hand before squeezing it and letting it go. Lexa quickly grabs her hand as soon as Clarke relinquishes her grasp and she slowly but surely sits up.
"Mebi oso na hit choda op nodotaim," Clarke says, tearing up once again. Lexa's tears from her almost-death are now joined by more as well.
Lexa spins Clarke into her arms and onto her lap as she kisses her with as much passion as the Clexa fans had for the show until 3x07.
Murphy smiles as his other suspicions were confirmed.
"Stay," Lexa whispers softly, causing Clarke's breath to hitch for a moment.
"What about my people?"
"I trust Octavia and the ones you hold dear. Your mother, Jasper, Monty, and Marcus. Your people are not the problem. Pike is. I don't want you to be killed."
"I'll be fine-"
"No you won't," Lexa cuts Wanheda off and accidentally snaps simultaneously. Clarke is surprised by the sudden outburst from her. So is everyone else in the room.
"I-I-I'm sorry.... I just- I... Can't fathom..." Lexa chuckles briefly out of frustration for trying to say the words she's been trying to say for quite a while to Clarke.
"It's okay. I understand what you mean," Clarke says, causing a sigh of relief from Heda.
"But, they are my people, Lexa."
Lexa's nods her head in understanding though wearing a sad expression. Clarke gets up, and Lexa follows behind her, wincing a little with each step.
"Clarke," Lexa calls after her. Clarke, who secretly loves hearing her name from Lexa's lips as much as Lexa loves candles, turns around to see the woman she's meant to be with.
"Emo mebi yu kru, ba yu laik ai raunon."
(AN: I suck at Trigedasleng so please correct me if I'm wrong)
Clarke smiles as it translates to 'They may be your people, but you are my person.'
They embrace one last time before Clarke mutters something about having to listen to Octavia bitch about her being late and leaves.
As soon as she leaves, a single tear falls down Lexa's face and she looks up to the sky, almost ironically you might say, to stop more from falling.
"Heda," Titus starts and she holds up her hand to stop him.
"I must make this decision with my head but even with my heart I would choose to banish you." The bitterness in her voice was evident as she found the conflicting evidence of the man who she used to agree on with everything suddenly tortures an (almost completely) innocent person, tries to kill him, tries to kill Wanheda, and then almost kills her.
"I almost died, Titus. By your hands. If Jason was in charge of my life, I would be dead by now." She turns to Jason who, in turn, nods to verify that.
"I didn't mean to hit y-"
"Either you stay out of the 12 clans boundaries or I will kill you."
Titus then leaves without another word.
"So, Murphy, what are your plans?"
He is taken aback by the question.
"Well, I can't go back to the Ark with those psychotic people so I think I will just wander, I guess."
Lexa thinks this over for a moment before decided to offer.
"If interested, there is a man who needs a second and you could stay in Polis as long as you remained loyal."
So Murphy became a second. He never went back to Arkadia. Emori came to Polis one day several months later and was surprised to find Murphy. They end up living together for the rest of their lives in Polis with all they ever wanted.
Pike was assassinated after someone found information regarding the nuclear war being started by a fellow who sounded just like him. That fellow was Donald Trump.
After Pike was assasinated, Kane became chancellor once again, and peace was restored as they once again became the 13th clan. Once there is peace, Clarke moves to the Polis and lives with Lexa till the end of their lives. They have two girls named Elyza Lex™ and Fine Stud Lexa™.
Jason was shot by Lexa once Murphy left the room.
