It seemed like an ordinary day for Mai as she stirred from her slumber.
The first thing she thought of before she opened her amber eyes was Hitoshi's delicious cooking for breakfast. She smiled at the thought as she raised her head and lifted her heavy eyelids open.
It was not an ordinary day after all.
She was in a dark, almost pitch black room, which looked much like a prison cell for solitary confinement, or even more so, the brig of a ship. Not only that, her arms were also held up diagonally by chains which had her kneeling on the cold floor of the room.
Suddenly it all came back to her.
Ay-Shinn had captured her in the guise of a human agent on Earth, incapacitated her and now she was imprisoned.
The Ardonian princess yanked with all her strength on the chains in a futile attempt to break free. It was all in vain.
That moment there was a hissing sound, and a door in front of her slid open, letting in some light which momentarily blinded Maina. When she opened her eyes she saw a lanky figure standing in the doorway.
"So you have awakened, my princess," said the man.
Maina knew very well who it was at once and glared hatefully at him.
"Ay-Shinn," said the girl.
The figure clapped his hands mockingly.
"Very impressive, I must say, Maina," said Ay-Shinn as he went inside the room, the door shutting behind him. He then proceeded to lift his hand up and at once, the room was lit, revealing that he was still in his human disguise.
"It was not difficult to deduce who you are, monster," said Maina scornfully.
Ay-Shinn chuckled.
"It's not that I am impressed about, Milady," said Ay-Shinn as he walk towards the bound Ardonian. "It is the fact that you have adapted so well to life on Earth. That tiny blue speck you call your new home."
Maina continued to look upon the disguised invader with spurning eyes.
"It was very fortunate that I had found you very easily as I have," continued Ay-Shinn. "I would have burned the whole planet down in my search for you."
"So why are you still in your human disguise?" questioned Maina, this time with a devious smirk. "I seem to prefer this look more than that abhorrent true reptilian form of yours. I almost want to marry you now."
"Ufufufu," chuckled Ay-Shinn. "Where did you get a sense of humor, Princess?"
Ay-Shinn then grabbed the girl by the chin, squishing her cheeks together between four fingers and his thumb.
"The only reason you are still alive is because I allow it," said the reptilian in a husky tone as she stared Maina down. "Do not test me, Ardonian."
"Just kill me," said the Ardonian princess as she glared back at him.
Ay-Shinn pushed Maina's head back as he let her go.
"I want you to see something," said he as he turned away from her with his hands behind his back. "Then I will grant your wish."
"I am quite sure... unnhh... what you are about to show me is terrible," said Maina as she struggled to get loose.
"Quite clever," said Ay-Shinn. "We are on our way to your home planet of Ardonia as we speak."
Maina's eyes widened into circles.
"A-Ardonia?" said she.
"Yes, my dear princess," replied Ay-Shinn as he turned back to her. "Your humble servants await your arrival."
