Chapter 7: The Dark Past

The spiders took us to what I thought was Herobrine's temple. They said to us to take the trapdoor in a secret spot.

"You shall start from here. We shall distract the guards from inside and unlock all doors. Let Xylis guide you," they said, and went inside the temple.

We turned to Xylis. She stared at us eerily, until she decided no one has a tracker, according to her.

She opened the trapdoor. "Only spiders can open complicated doors like this," she said cheerfully. "Get in!"

We went inside a tunnel through the trapdoor. When we reached the other door, it took us to the storage. About 20 seconds after getting out of the trapdoor (it took us half an hour to get everyone out), the storage door opened.

It was Xylis's friends. "Come on!" they said. "All guards are eliminated, and all doors are unlocked."

After hours of search, I accidentally found the temple's library. I found a book about Herobrine. But after a while I found out that it wasn't a book--it's a diary.

I opened it. The first page said:

That was my birthday. I was suddenly curious. I read on:

A day of fighting. After defeating several annoying warriors, I was nervous that the energy I unleashed on them might group themselves and create a new source of energy. A new life. However, that may be a rumor. I tried settling down. But that didn't work.

Energy. . . . Alj and I were created of energy? What does that mean? I read more.

Then, a jackpot.

I knew it. I knew that there would new lives because of that energy. It happened two days ago. But the new lives are human triplets! I should destroy them. I really need to destroy them. But knowing their parents are warriors, I set off for Carnia and killed the couple. And I decided I'd kill the children when they are eleven years. Meanwhile, I discovered that my comrade Wither threw the female of the triplets away. That's good for me.

Today is one of the triplets's birthday. Yes... The time has come for me to kill them! But what is this - a girl of mystery. I realized that the girl is the triplet sister. And this - ah, power! She had the power of elements! The boys - her twin brothers - they have the power of ice and fire! Both effective against me. What should I do?

So we got an advantage against Herobrine. That should be enough for him to stop writing in the diary.

I closed the diary. I've learned enough. I've had enough.

We had to destroy Herobrine.
