Hermione's POV
Hermione rolled onto her side. The moon was shining in through the girls dormitory in the Gryffindor tower. Hermione sprang out of bed, oh no-she thought-i'm behind on my homework! She fell asleep before she could do her potions homework that was due tomorrow. It was already bad enough that Snape picked on her for always being right, if she didn't turn in her homework she would be tormented more than she already was. She ran over to the girls bathroom and grabbed her brush, she began attempting to tame her lions mane that she called hair. She set her brush down satisfied with her appearance. She looked at herself in the mirror, she looked awful and she had dark circles under her eyes from her constant lack of sleep. She walked back to her bed, grabbed her parchment, ink and quill then headed off to the library to finish her potions essay on polyjuice potions. She slipped out the portrait entrance and walked quietly down the halls. Hermione was really hoping that she wouldn't run in to any teachers, that would prevent her from doing her potions homework and it would also make the teacher think badly of her. Both of those things would ruin her already bad day.
Hermione made it to the Library without anyone finding her. She pulled out her wand and whispered Alohamora, the door to the the restricted section in the library swung open with a groan from the rusty hinges. Hermione tiptoed to the nearest table and set down her parchment, ink and quill. She strolled through the restricted area looking for a certain book. she spotted it on a nearby shelf and quickly pulled it out and ran over to the table. Hermione of course knew everything in the potions book already, she read it a few years back when she made the polyjuice potion. She only needed it to site her facts in the essay. She plopped down in a chair and got to work on her essay. She wrote very quickly but still in her best handwriting. A half hour later she set down her quill and sighed. She finished her essay and Hermione couldn't wait to get back to the girls dormitories and sleep. she closed the potions book and placed it back in it's correct shelf. She gathered her belongings and and rushed out the restricted area forgetting to lock the door on her way out. she walked down the hallway leading to the staircases when she saw a flash of red and white. She stopped dead in her tracks, someone was running down the hallway at very high speeds. The person ran past her before she could get a good look at who it was. Hermione was trembling, she thought she was going to get caught. It was still very peculiar that the person just ran by her. Hermione decided not to dwell on it and run back to the girls dormitories before anyone else ran by her. Hermione made it safely back to her bed and was laying down in bed when she realized what the flash of red was. The person was covered in blood Hermione realized quickly. She went to bed finally and dreamt about a boy drenched in blood standing next to a dead child.
Hermione woke screaming and crying before she could finish her dream. It was morning and Hermione looked around seeing no one inside the dormitory, she realized she over slept and jumped out of bed rushing over to her trunk to get dressed. She looked in the mirror satisfied and ran down to breakfast. She entered the Great Hall and saw Harry and Ron whispering about something in hushed tones. Hermione walked over sat down next to Harry." Hi guys" she smiled cheerfully at them. "Hermione did you hear?" Ron asked. "About what?" "About the first year that was found dead in the forbidden forrest!" "What?!" Harry jutted in and said "He was found this morning all torn up and bloody just outside the forbidden forrest" "Everyone's been talking about it" Ron stated between a bite of food. Hermione's face paled, she felt sick to her stomach "I think i'm going to hurl!" Hermione cried before she got up and ran to the girl's lavatories ( A/N: Lavatories are bathrooms or restrooms in case you didn't know) Hermione ran into a stall and threw up last nights dinner. She hated anything gory, she even got sick just thinking about blood! Hermione sat down and leaned against the stall door. She realized that in her dream their was the older boy drenched in blood standing next to the younger boy. She wondered if the boy from her dream was the one that killed the boy by the forbidden forrest. If she had only caught a glimpse of his face before she woke.
