Bucky X reader
1923
A baby was left on the door step of the Barnes' house hold.
Bucky was still just a toddler. He thought he got a new sister. He wasn't excited. He liked having one
Sister. Mrs. Barnes tried to find the baby's parents with no luck. She adopted the baby and name her (y/n) Barnes.
Bucky hates his new baby sister for the first two years of (y/n). But they grew closer than two peas in a pod. He beat up boys who teased her at school. When Bucky hung out with Steve and his friends he always brought his baby sister with him.
1930
Mr.Barnes walked into the kitchen. His face was unreadable.
"Your mother passed away.." He stated blankly and he walked out of the house. (Y/n) sobbed and Bucky held her making an attempt to sooth her but he was just as upset.

*ding dong*
Bucky slid out from cuddling and cooing his sister and walked to the door.
Police.
"excuse me, where is your mother?"
He questioned and Bucky didn't say a thing for a moment
"She's dead.." He simple whispered and stared at the floor.
The officer looked at the floor and sighed
"Your father was in a car crash." The officer said softly kneeling down to Bucky's height and he began crying and sniffling
Bucky didn't want to believe it. But it was true.
The next day, child services stepped in taking the three kids. The three were all separated Going to different homes.
1938

Your new parents were odd. They didn't tell you much. When they hugged they whispered
"Hail Hydra"
It made you uncomfortable. Before bed they give you medicine. They never tell you what it is. They put you through tests; both physical and mental. You missed Bucky so much it hurt..your memories were blurry but you remember running home from school hand in hand with Bucky when the bell rang.
1945
You were in a hydra base. No memories. Didn't remember anything about your child hood or growing up..even Bucky.
A tall man in a lab coat walked over with a metal prong. It was glowing red with an octopus. He walked over to you and pressed the hot metal against the skin over your ribs on the left side.
You screamed and thrashed your head tears streamed and the metal was removed leaving a brand of the hydra symbol on your skin forever.
Everything became muffled and people were talking. They dragged in a young man with short dark brown curly hair. He was weakly fighting against the ones holding him. Until he look at you. He stopped fighting them and just stared. He had no words but he chocked out one word
"(Y--y/n)!"
He stuttered while being taken away. Confusion set over you. The pain shot through your body over and over and the man was the last think you saw before you passed out. You didn't wake up in your time.
2014
You were in a room full of men staring at you. They all wore lab coats and holding clip boards. You examined yourself, you had a mechanical eye that was purple and looked like a normal eye.
You had amazing vision in that eye. You clenched your fists
"Where the hell am I?" You hissed at the men through your teeth
"Washington DC. You are the dark soldier. You and your partner, the winter soldier are going to kill Steven Rogers aka captain America. "
A male in a suite said and walked off.
The scientists cut your over grown hair short into a mowhawk and dressed you in all black. Black leather pants that had storage for guns. A shock proof vest over a grey long sleeved shirt. They placed a mask that covered you mouth and nose on your face.
They loaded you with weapons
"You will meet your partner in crime now."
One scientist said. You just blinked at him. No emotion and your mechanical eye shone a tad.

They lead you in an apartment where your partner was. You locked eyes with him but exchanged no words. They were nice enough to feed you.
You didn't eat all that much because you became skinny over the years.
The next day you were geared up with the soldier. You strutted onto the high way and searched for the car the captain was in. Once you spotted it you flipped onto the hood and crawled in through a window. Before they could do anything you were on Steve's lap he gasped, your hands tightly wrapped his throat. He shoved you off and threw himself and two others out of the car.
The redhead made a run for it but was quickly stopped by the soldier. They fought and you ran back to the blonde giving him one good curve stomp to his abdomen.
He coughed and held his chest. You went to give him another kick but a gun shot to your knee stopped you. The captain quickly armed himself with his shield from your wrath. The one who shot you, redhead was being stalked by the soldier. You began beating the hero up.
He got the chance and punches you in the throat, hard.
You choked and held your throat and clawed at your mask and tore it off.
Your airway was closing. The captain wasn't doing anything
"(Y/n)?"
She didn't respond and was taking shallow fast breaths. Your vision went blank and you hit the floor.
The soldier's head snapped towards her.
She was the only person he trusted. They really didn't even talk. It was more just looking into each others eyes and knowing what the other was thinking.
He sprinted towards her and made an attempt to stab the captain but he blocked his attack. He didn't have time for this and he picked up your limp body throwing you over his shoulder and ran into an awaiting helicopter.
You woke up to find you're able to breath again. You look around. The soldier was getting his metal arm fixed. You looked at him and he looked back. You both knew what the other was saying. He closed his eyes.
You yawned and looked around.
[c'mon (y/n)"! Let's go to the creak]
A voice in your head sang and you closed your eyes. Flashbacks began.
First day of school
Meeting Steve
Your mom died
Your dad died
Everything flooded in all at once. Pain swept your expression when you looked at Bucky. He wasn't him. The doctors left the room and stood up and walked to him
"Barnes..you're James Bucky Barnes" he slowly smiled at you and placed a hand on your cheek.
"You..are (f/n m/n) Barnes.."
He said
You teared up and hugged the man
"Fuck...I missed you."
You grunted into his hair
"I thought you forgot.."
He whispered kissing your forehead
