"DIE! MONSTERS!"
In the midst of the chaos in the school playground, Jane sliced an imaginary zombie in the head, Tom spun his hammer round and round, taking out hundreds of beasts that didn't exist, Jack swung his sword left and right, yelling "TAKE THAT! AND THAT! AND THIS!"
The trio slashed their swords at imaginary foes, tinfoil flashing as they danced, Tom rushed toward a wall and started slamming his hammer against it, "Come on guys! If we bash hard enough, this wall will break and we can escape!"
Jack opened a door not far off from the wall Tom was trying to destroy, "It's broken! Come on guys! Lets get outta here!"
The three kids rushed into the door, coming to a dark room with flickering lights,
"This place is spooky" Jane shivered,
"What is this place?"Jack queried, Tom walked over to a sign on the wall. On it were three words.
"Caution, Keep Out" Tom read, squinting over his glasses. "Jack, the door you opened. What did it say?"
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked, looking baffled, "I didn't open any door, we all broke a wall which lead us here!"
Tom glared at him meaningfully,
"Alright alright, fine" Jack said, giving in, "It said, "Danger, Do Not Go In. But we are daring people, we can do anything!"
"Jack, you shouldn't have done that!" Tom scolded him. "The school put signs like these for a reason. What if we get murdered by ghosts?"
"Should we go back?" Jane asked,
"No, we're already in, there's no turning back, I want to see some more" Tom replied. They walked cautiously deeper into the room, avoiding pipes and wires along the way,
"Danger, 10000 Volts" Jack read on one of the signs, "What does that mean?"
"Something bad" Tom whispered, "Maybe we should watch out and not touch the wires. Something tells me we will not like it"
The three children carried on, stepping cautiously over the electric wires.
"Wait a minute" Tom said, "Guys, look! There's a red button!"
Jack and Jane made their way towards him.
"What does this thing do?" Jack asked, the boy wasn't watching where he was going, and his shoe was hovering dangerously over the wires.
"Jack, look out!" Tom threw his hammer at Jake, knocking him backward. The hammer dropped onto the wire Jack was just about to step on.
"ZAAAAAAAAAP!!!"
there was a blinding flash of light, and where the tinfoil covered toy mallet used to be, smoke drifted away from a charred spot. Jack sighed, "Phew, thanks, I owe you one"
Tom scowled, "You owe me one new hammer"
Jane and Tom helped Jack up,
"Hey, guys, we still haven't figured out what this thing actually does"
"Whatever" Jack sighed, pressing the button, "I just wish that my sword is made of actual metal, that would be so cool"
"FLASH!"
Immediately, Jack's sword felt heavier than usual. "Woah" He said, examining his blade, and was shocked to find that it had changed, from a dull and fragile tinfoil to a gleaming shining iron blade. It's handle was made of leather, with beautiful patterns engraved inside it.
"Jack!"Jane gasped with delight, "This isn't any normal button, this is a magical wishing button!"
