An Un-Sympathetic Apology

     I sincerely apologize if you were expecting a story where a girl meets a boy, they fall madly in love and all is great in the book of life. Just, life isn't exactly like they make it out to be,
Who would of known that 2016 consists of falling in love with a virtual image of someone who is miles upon miles away from you. Definitely not eight year old me.
No, I'm not eight now, but some nights I wish I was.
Can you remember how you were before the world told you who you should be? I can. Which brings me back to 2008.
Where I was outside exploring the world. Also known as my backyard. Except, that's not what it really is to a kid with a head full of imagination, an untouched heart, and dreams so big it could leave finger prints on the moon.
I never thought that little girl would live her teenage years through a handheld heartbreaker and more importantly I never thought that little girl would be so deeply infatuated with someone she has never met. 
Oh, and sorry I started this off with a lie. I don't really apologize, why be sorry for the now? I should be apologizing for the future.
