[14]: Monster Mission

CHAPTER 14: Monster Mission

[Mayu's P.O.V.]

Nahahati ang Croft Town sa dalawang bahagi. The Western Part at puro forest while sa Northern part naman ay puro bahay at buildings.

Yohan and i wandered around the town, asking for the mayor's house. I approached an old woman running a flower shop.

"Excuse Ma'am, could you tell us where the Mayor's mansion are?"-i asked as politely as i can. Napakunot naman ang noo ng matanda at nagtaka naman ako kasi hindi sya sumagot.

Tumabi saakin si Yohan, tiningnan nya ako saglit tsaka umiling at humarap sya doon sa matanda. "Ibig nya pong sabihin ay nasaan po ba matatagpuan ang bahay ng Mayor?"-he said. Ah, ganun pala. Hindi naintindihan ni Ate kung anong sinasabi ko.

The woman smiled. "Oo naman?"-tas may tinuro syang daan. Kung saan nakatira ang Mayor. Hindi naman daw yung Grand kaya makikita daw namin yun. We just need to take the street papuntang Center Town. Then right turn and go up the hill. Hindi naman nakakalito anoh?-_-

The woman glaced at me and Yohan. "Sabihin nyo, anomg kaipangan nyo sa Mayor?"

I smiled at her. "W'ere here to take a mission."-i said. Hiro held up the mission paper and on cue, the woman's eyes widened.

"The Monster Mission?"-i can see a hint of happiness in her voice? I nodded. Her smiled widened. "Oh! Maraming salamat!"-she said loud enough para marinig nang mga tao. Napatingin sila saamin.

Some time, maraming tao na ang nakapalibot saamin. I can see that they are really happy about this. "According to the town's people, the monster have been terorizing the town for more than half a year."-i said. Nagulat naman ako ng pitikin ni Yohan ang noo ko.

"Aray!"-napahawak na lang ako sa noo ko at sinamaan sya ng tingin. Ang sakit nun hah.>< Nakasimangot naman sya habang nakataas pa ang kilay saakin!

"Wag ka ngang mag-english. Nakakadugo ka eh. Pati nga ibang tao hindi ka maintindihan."-saway nya saakin at tinuktok naman ang ulo ko! Aba! Sumusobra na sya ah! At ayaw ko ng gulo ngayon kaya inirapan ko na lang sya at nagpatuloy na sa paglalakad.

Soon, A small and comfortable looking house come into view. Hiro knocked twice and a woman come out. She smiled at us. "Hello, anong maipaglilingkod ko sainyo?"

Yohan held up the mission paper. "Were here to take the mission."-he said. I rolled my eyes heavenwards. Bakit sya nageenglish? Tapos ako bawal? Nasaan ang hustisya doon?><

The woman, who introduce herself as Miriam Croft, Edward Croft's wife had led us to the Mayor's Office.

The man, probably mid fourties, greeted us. "Kayo siguro ang mga Wizards na tumanggap ng request namin anoh?"-tanong ni Mrs. Croft. We nodded.

Mr. Croft gestured us to sit down so we sat on the opposite sides. "I'm Edward Croft. The Mayor of the Croft Town."

"I'm Mayu and this is Yo--Seigrain."-i introduce us. Muntik ko ng masabi ang totoong pangalan nitong kasama ko. Pero mukhang hindi naman nakahalata eh. Pweh. "We are from the Dragon Clan."

Mr. Croft nodded happily. Miriam Croft handed him a folder. He took it and absently read it out loud. "Kaunti lang ang nalalaman namim tungkol sa Monster na ito. All we know, the monster is terorizing our town for more than half a year. It only appears on nights without a moon. So, no one knowns excatly how it look like."-there's a sudded paused. "It's size  was about a house and there are only one."

Ibinaba nya ang folder at parang may inaaalala na kung ano. "Uh, some people say it used magic."-he looked at us appolegetically. "Sorry, yun lang ang nalalaman namin. Lahat kasi ng lumalapit doon, ay namamatay o hindi na nakikita pa"

I nodded thoughtfully. "Only during moonless nights, huh?"-i sat there. Thoughts running down in my head.

"Ready?"-tanong ni Darque saakin. I nodded and she placed her hand on my head.

Darque took a deep breath and i feel the same static sound in my head when Darque download the summoning battle words in my head. Images, letters, numbers, grapics flooded through my brain and it surprise me na naiintindihan ko ito.

I fell Darque's hand leave my head. At nawala na din ang static sound.

I concentrated and the air infrom of me appeared and picture of Ressa is formed. I smiled in satisification pero nung mawala ang concentration ko ay nagblurr nanaman ang image at bigla na lang nawala.

Darque smiled. "That was great for your first time."-sabi nya ang ngumiti lang din ako. "Afterlife can bestowed their contractors some magic or curse. Illustion is one of the basics. I can also teach you telekinesis, telephaty or teleportation. But i see your potential, you can skip from all of that and move from the strongest one. Hindi ko pa ito natututo sa kahit na sino but i guess, you can manage it."

I looked at her puzzled but she just giggled. "Secret!" Mist surrounded her at pumunta na sya kay Yohan para tingan naman ang illustion nito.

Hindi din sya masikreto ano?-_-
