Part 43

   "Caleb Joshua Hudson, that's what I'm going to call him."
   "I like my father's name but Joshua, has to go."
    "Josh that's your birth name and I like it long. It's staying."
    "It does have a nice ring to it." Said Raven.
Caleb was finally here, sleeping in his bassinet right beside me. My own little bundle of joy with the man that I love.
    "Well it doesn't matter because it's a boy, which means I win. I get a nice cooked meal every night and sex."
"Hold on cowboy, I said nothing about sex and you don't eat my food anyways."
"Damn I forgot. New bet!"
"Nope our bet is cancelled, that's what you get for thinking with your manhood."
He kissed me and then smiled.
Victory was mine, even if he did like food I wouldn't have cooked for him.
Just then Rayne walks in with Griffin right behind her. I don't know if I can handle both of these guys at the same time.
   "We've found the McKnight clan." Rayne said.
   "They're moving in fast." Added Griffin.
I just had a baby I can't fight, I need at least 2 weeks to recover. Josh must have seen my face react because he came over and held my hand.
   "How fast?" He said.
   "Five days max."
A tear slide down my cheek and Josh wiped it away.
   "Guys give us a minute." He said to everyone.
He watched them all leave out the room and then turned his attention back to me. ", I know you're scared baby."
   "Scared isn't the word Josh, I'm petrified and I'm helpless. This should be the happiest day of my life, but I can't be happy knowing that they're coming for me and I have to hide my baby."
     "Look at me." I wouldn't make eye contact so he grabbed my chin and faced me towards him ", nothing is going to happen to you. As long as I'm here with you, we're fine."
    "I can't lose you Josh, I love you so much."
He went over to the bassinet and picked up Caleb, he placed him in my arms and then kissed my lips.
    "Neither one of you is going to lose me."
I glanced down at Caleb sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face. I won't let them hurt my family anymore.
    "I need my book, get my mom and Lilly while you're at it."
He shook his head, kissed my forehead, and then left. A couple of minutes later my mom and Lilly walked into the room. I handed her Caleb because she was going to take him either way.
     "Hi grandma's baby." She said in a low voice.
     "I'm going to summon the Hellhounds." I stated.
     "Can I help? I know my powers aren't strong but-" Lilly started to say.
    "Of course you can help."
Josh comes in ten minutes later with my spell book.
"Sapphire I need you to turn to the Hellhounds," The book lit up and flipped it's pages until it found what it wanted "Mom, Lilly, I need you to say this with me to make the call stronger.
They nodded their heads and grabbed my hands.
"Vobis dicimus nequam dimittere Hellhounds super hostes effunderentur in interfectionem eorum ." We call to you evil one, to release the hellhounds onto our enemies and destroy them.
We chanted this three times before all of the lights went off and the sky went dark.
"Viper, Bandit, Grim. Venit!"
Three huge dogs with mangled black fur, glowing red eyes, and ghostly characteristics came into the room and bowed down to us.
"I missed you guys." Lilly said as she bent down to pet Bandit.
These used to be my dogs, they were always glamoured to look like mundane dogs. Unlike Sam, these dogs communicate with me telepathically and can take a soul from a body.
"Paris, the shadow world has heard about the death of your grandmother and we're sorry, she was a good woman."
" I know, she's where she needs to be, but that's not why I called you. I've had a baby," I said while pointing over to Caleb " Bad people are coming after me and I need you to slow them down."
"The baby is beautiful just like you are, I was wondering when you would have one." Bandit was the one who said this.
"Who do you need us to slow down?" Asked Viper as his eyes glowed darker.
Unlike what people think, it's okay to look into the eyes of Hellhounds, as long as your intentions are pure, they see the truth and determine if they'll let you live.
"The McKnight Clan. I can't let them hurt my family."
Grim, the leader of the pack doesn't talk much, but he's the strongest hellhound ever.
"You're safe with us helping you out Princessa, and you and Lillian haven't changed a bit."
Lilly giggled and went to hug him. "I'm glad you think that Grim, it's time to go to work."
They all nodded their heads and disappeared after that.
"I'm a little jealous of a dog flirting with my woman." Josh stated.
"Your woman? Okay caveman Josh."
"I can't be... Nevermind your mother is in the room." He smirked.
I knew it was a dirty joke coming out of his mouth so I rolled my eyes.
"Do you ever stop thinking negative?"
He chuckled and shook his head no.
Caleb started crying, so I picked him up and breast fed. Afterwards I handed him back to my mother and she disappeared.
"I'm going to go call Jake, I meant to call him earlier but I forgot." Lillian said.
"Okay."
She left the room after placing a kiss on my cheek and then Josh got into the bed with me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
It was taking me a moment to process things, how was I feeling? My brain and emotions were scattered and confused.
"I'm fine." I finally responded. "I mean I have to heal by the day after tomorrow or we're screwed."
He placed his arm around my head and put his other arm over my waist. "Your mom is working on some healing potions for you to take babe."
He kissed my forehead and then made his way down to my lips.
"Gosh I want you so bad right now." I said.
"I want you too."
I gasped, "I said that out loud didn't I?" I rolled my eyes at myself and he chuckled, planting another kiss to my swollen lips.
"I....can't.....wait....for you.......to get....better." He said trailing kisses down my neck.
My thighs were wet, calling for him to put his hands on them, but is that really what I wanted? I sure as hell didn't know. Gosh I missed the way he used to tease my breasts with tiny nibbles and the way his tongue wondered over my body. I looked up to see him smirking at me and I realized I was biting my lip.
"It's not my fault that I'm wet and we can't have sex."
"I'd take you looking beautiful delivering my babies any day."
"Babies? Yeah I'm gonna have to think about delivering more of your big headed kids."
"There's no thinking involved, you're having more of my kids."
  "I'll have more when you start enjoying human food."
He frowned and I scooted closer to him.
"You're gonna have eight of my kids." He mumbled.
  "I'm not having eight kids, three is the max."
  "We will see."
I rolled my eyes and chuckled. When pigs fly, I'm definitely not pushing eight babies out of me.
   "Okay Joshua."
He gave me an angry look and I laughed so hard.
