As my mother gave me a glancing look like she knew everything she had a relieved expression on her face. I was confused, why wasn't she yelling or grounding me for the rest of my life. She started to speak then stopped an then started to do it again. She said " do you really like this boy? " I replied with a "yes very much. He is my only friend so far." My mother made a huffing sound then said " fine. I won't tell dad but you have to promise me you won't sneak out again but if you do, be safe. We don't even know this guy I mean you just met him." I nodded and rolled over she left the room with quiet steps. I turned to look at my phone and their was a message on it. It read " hey where did you go this morning. " I shot him a text saying " I had to leave because I am grounded and in the morning my mother checks on me and she actually knew that I had left but she said she won't tell my dad which gave a huge relief.

As I walk down to the kitchen to go eat some breakfast my dad is sitting at the kitchen table. He calls me over to go sit with him after I get my toast and cereal. I sit down and he had kind of a sympathetic look on his face. I asked him why he looked like that. He replied with " I think I was to hard on you, I feel guilty tell me something that I could do to make it up to you. I mean grounding you for that long is insane. "  I worked up the courage but just said it " can you unground me. " He gave me a look of thought like he didn't know if he wanted to or not. I gave him the most please face I could and he finally gave in. I was free at last. I texted Adam and asked If he maybe wanted to hang out again.
