Chapter 1: Raven Queen

Raven Queen was no ordinary girl. She was the daughter of a dark sorceress. Which meant she had her mother's dark magic. One bad thing about that. Raven wasn't like her mother, The Evil Queen. She wanted to be good, but every time she tried to use her powers for good, they backfired.

Raven attended school at the prestigious boarding school, Ever After High. She was the roommate of Apple White, who was supposed to be her enemy, but was actually one of Raven's best friends. Raven was also friends with the Mad Hatter's daughter, Madeline Hatter, Pinnochio's daughter, Cedar Wood, Red Riding Hood's daughter, Cerise Hood, King Charming's daughter, Darling Charming, and Beauty and the Beast's daughter, Rosabella Beauty.

Raven hated her destiny of becoming the next Evil Queen, so when Legacy Day rolled around, the day they were to sign the Storybook of Legends and seal their fate as becoming their parent, Raven refused to sign the book, therefore forming a rift between the Royals and the newly formed Rebels. The Royals were all the princes and princesses who wanted to follow their predetermined destiny. The Rebels were the students who decided they didn't want to become their parents. All of Raven's friends except Apple were Rebels.

Typically, Raven would be rushing off to some random class today, but today was no ordinary day. Today was Visiting Day, the day Raven was permitted to speak to her Mirror-Trapped mother. The Evil Queen had attempted to take over Wonderland, but had been trapped in the Mirror Realm by Milton Grimm, Giles Grimm, and Baba Yaga. Raven got to speak with her mother once a month, and today was that monthly day. Raven walked into Headmaster Milton Grimm's luxurious office and was asked to sign a form.

"Remember Miss Queen, don't touch the glass," Headmaster Grimm warned. If the glass of her mother's mirror was touched, or broken, her mother would escape. And that would mean disaster for all of Ever After.

"I know, I know," Raven replied nodding. Headmaster Grimm pressed a button and a panel in the wall opened to reveal a hallway. Raven made her way down said hallway and arrived at a door. She cautiously opened the door, only to be greeted by a sleeping purple dragon.

"Nevermore!" Raven exclaimed. The dragon sleepily opened her eyes, saw Raven and shrunk to the size of a puppy. Nevermore leaped into Raven's open arms and Raven started her way up the spiral staircase that Nevermore had been guarding.

When Raven got to the top of the staircase, it let into an open room, the top of a tower. A silver mirror hung on one wall. The mirror started to swirl with purple mist and then Raven's mother appeared inside it.

"Raven! Look at you! My beautiful, evil little girl! What mayhem have you been causing?" The Evil Queen asked her daughter.

"Mom, you know I'm not like you. I don't want to be evil, so I haven't been causing mayhem," Raven replied. The Evil Queen frowned. Raven and her mother talked for a bit longer, then Raven headed back down the stairs with Nevermore and sighed. She wished her mom would at least try to understand her.

AN: I know Raven technically only gets to see her mother once a year, but she sees her twice in Dragon Games, so I'm changing it. This chapter is just a little introduction chapter, so sorry it's short. The next one will be a Dexter intro so it'll be short too, but after that hopefully they will be longer! Thanks for reading!
