C1: Exciting News!

[part 1]

"Judy," I hiss, "stop staring." 

She sighs, "I can't, he's just bloody perfect." I sigh as well, he bloody is.

Caleb, the guy who every girl desires, is just standing a few feet in front of me. Perfectly handsome, muscular and just the right amount of badboyness. It's every girls dream to explore his body with her hands, to push her body against his and to whisper naughty things in his ear.

And that's where it ends, a dream.  

I push a few strands of hair behind my ear and I continue with drawing on my notebook.

"Can you please act like you are listening to what I'm saying?" Judy asks, irritation audible in her voice. 

"What?" I ask as realise her irritated expression.

She sighs and looks the other way. "Doesn't matter."

I rub my eyes, "I'm sorry Judy, I just didn't get enough sleep last night." 

"Why?" She aks curiously. 

I shake my head, "Nothing, nevermind."

She looks if nobody is around, before she opens her mouth. "Because of John? Is he still.. touching you?" She whispers slowly, almost inaudible. 

I nod as I recall yesterday night. "Yeah." My voice cracks, I sound vulnerable. That's the last thing I want, people to pity me. 

"Scarlett, this needs to stop.." She's right, but  I don't want to ruin my mother's happiness. She has been depressed and suicidal, I need her to be happy; she deserves it.

"I know.. I'll figure something out." I say quickly as the bell rings.

"So class, I've exciting news to tell!" Mrs. Barger chirps, her high-pitched voice booming through the class.

Nobody pays attention to her, why you may ask? Because everytime she says that she has 'exciting news to tell' it's pretty much the most boring thing ever. Okay I may exaggerate a bit, but it's true.

One time this 'exciting news' she had, turned out to be visiting an animal shelter. Yeah the only thing exciting about that was when Alexis Mallory let a turtle escape and poisoned a dog with chocolate.

"Are we going to feed the homeless people again?" Kai Montague, Alexis' partner in crime, sighs.

It was quite rare that Kai attended this lesson. He, and Alexis obviously, had this rebellious behaviour; which meant that they always skipped classes and smoked pot somewhere.

Mrs. Barger lets out a high-pitched laugh. If my eardrums weren't destroyed already, they're now. "No you silly boy! It's so much more exciting than that!"

Wow, so it's more exciting than that huh.. The whole class has it's fully attention now for Mrs. Barger's news. Maybe, if we are lucky, we are going to the zoo or the cinema.

"Are we going to clean up the nursing home, again?" Frankie Elias, one of the populars, sighs over dramatically. Frankie is not like the other populars, he is cool and kind to everyone and that's why he's popular; everybody likes him.

Some students sigh and nod, yeah cleaning the nursing home wasn't much fun. The elders thought we were 'burglars' and attacked us with umbrellas. Yeah so much for a exciting day in the nursing home.
