I Looked around and saw all my loved ones being burnt to the ground, I was just a little young one about 10 years of age.

It was all those people who called themselves "Heroes" or "Princes" or whatever. They hated my family, called them "Villains" or "Bad guys", it was one of the most saddest things i had ever heard from these evil beings. I turned and ran as fast as i could, tears streaming down my face. Being the princess that I was, i was shyer than most, so I stayed in my room all day long. nobody knew of me, or who I was supposed to become, maybe that was why they didn't kill me too.

I remembered my two older sisters being burnt at the stake, screaming in mercy, my mama and daddy praying to be let go. The whole kingdom had turned against us and decided to have another king instead, it was sad, i thought, to have so many lives being taken, although it was only four, to be offered a new kingdom.

My long, wavy,  dark brown hair flew in the wind as I ran through the dark and misty forest. I looked back and saw only one person chasing me.  I realized my crown was still on my head and threw it in the bushes, my hand being cut along the edges of the beautiful gold ring part. The figure was gaining speed, I dashed through the trees again. And then I realized: no one knew I would run away, except...

I stopped, and turned right as the figure plummeted into me. we both fell on the ground and rolled downhill, then we lied sprawled in the dirt. The figure's cloak fell off her shoulders revealing who was under, A girl with shoulder length chestnut colored hair and Amber eyes. "Nesta?" I asked in disbelief, I told this girl not to follow me! my only friend looked up at me, she was only ten, like me.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, I just had to run away. It was just too scary and sad watching your family die. And I just couldn't leave you out here alone, the woods are scary, Ivette!"

I hugged my friend, "Come, let's go, and hurry, it's going to be dangerous" I said, looking back from where I ran, no one was pursuing us yet, that was good.

I grabbed Nesta's hand and ran, almost literally dragging Nesta behind me. The wind in our faces, we made our way aimlessly down the hill, not looking back for fear of falling head first into the deep river that was below us.

...........

A couple years later and I was thirteen, Nesta and I found a couple who were old and didn't have any children and became their daughters, they didn't even ask me where I came from, just thought Nesta and I were twins with parents who got executed when the new king took over.

Of course, I still knew I was the real heiress to the throne. But I needed to stay where I was, hiding in the shadows like a cat, waiting to pounce. I found the nights that were released after my parents were executed, and planned them for war. I went searching for my crown in the bushes. Of course, as always (I always lost my crown when I was princess) I found it.

Nesta and I talked at night, giggling while we told funny stories to each other. We became as close as sister could be, maybe even closer since all we had is each other.

"Nesta?" I whispered one night, when we were in bed and the adults were asleep.

"Yes Ivette?" Nesta replied softly.

"If I'm ever to die in battle, or burnt at the stake, I want you to be the next queen"

"Why do you say that?"

"I have a feeling I'll need you to be the next heiress after me" I didn't know why, but I had a strong feeling Nesta would be queen after the war I was plotting against the king.
