I took my first step into the cold bitter weather. The snow crunched under my feet as I walked. I looked down and saw the imprint of my boots in fluffy white snow. My foot prints were the first in the new layer of snow.
As I kept walking I saw my cousins making a snowman. They were not strong enough to stack the balls for his body so I helped. They used a long, bright orange carrot for his nose and cold, hard rocks for his eyes.
After they finished we walked to the house. The most exciting part of being out in the winter weather was going into Grandma's over heated house to get warm. Once inside we took off our snow clothes then made hot chocolate. I couldn't wait to taste the warm, rich hot chocolate run down my throat after being outside in the cold.
