Mr. Abrams took a deep breath and realized that he was about to set a new record for American presidents. Shortest time in office. He had just gotten word that the president's plane had been shot down over Kentucky trying to escape a communist attack.
He stared at the doorway hearing the yelling of Chinese soldiers trying to break in. He almost didn't hear the radio operator yelling "Sir, I've been able to get the broadcast on." When he finally snapped to he said "are you sure it's on every available broadcast?"
"Yes sir any that have survived the last few days"
The president nodded and sat in front of the radio and sent out a message. "Hello America, this is your acting president Jonathan Abrams. I know the last four days have been difficult, but hope is not lost, America. Fort Hood Military Base is still operational. They have food, medicine, shelter and protection. So before it is too late to save you and your families lives, head to Fort Hood Military Base, Texas."
As the radio operator put the radio on a loop, the president heard a deafening explosion that knocked him to the ground. The last thing he ever saw was Chinese soldiers storming the room and a hail of gunfire that killed him instantly.
