At the airport
Y/n POV
"You sure your gonna be ok?" My mom ask for the hundredth time. "Yes mom. I'm gonna be fine," I reasured giving her one last hug before I get on my flight to Chongqing. I take a deep breath as the plane takes off and closed my eyes, thinking about how awkward it would be in my new school in China, of course being a white girl, fortunately I know fluent Chinese so there won't be any communication issues. I sigh and continue to worry about living in China before I drift off to sleep.16 hours later (in Chongqing)
I yawn and stretch my arms. The jetlag is real. I step off the plane and into the airport to collect my luggage. As I exit the airport I hail a cab and ask the driver to take me to the nearest motel because the dorms are not open till tomorrow. As soon as i get to my motel room, I belly flop onto the bed and let all my worries drift away as I fall asleep.
The next morning
I wake up, brush my teeth, change in my school uniform and heat up some leftover food from the airport and eat that for breakfast while watching some tv shows on the television until its time for school. I pack my school bag and check out of the motel. I decided to walk to my new school because it was such a nice day and the school was only a 10 minute walk.At school
I enter through the big sliding doors of the school and found my way to the office after asking a student where it was, who was surprised that I spoke Chinese so well. I entered the office and was met by the principal who gave me a friendly smile. "You must be y/n. Welcome to your new school. I'm Ms.Wong, the principal." I smiled back "Hello," I said shyly looking down at my feet. Ms.Wong gave me my timetable, dorm room number and a map of the school. "Oh yes I forgot to mention, You will be sharing a room with 3 other boys." Ms.Wong said. My eyes widened in surprised. I don't want to share a dorm with anyone, especially with boys, but I decided not to argue so I nodded. "Good luck on your first day!" Ms.Wong shouted as I exited the office, on my way to my first class.I took a deep breath as I opened the door to my first class. As soon as I stepped in the classroom I was immediately stared at by my new classmates. My face began to turn beet red. I glanced over at my new teacher who had a cheerful smile on her face, her slick black hair was in a messy bun. She immediatley rushed over to greet and introduce me to the other students. "Boy and girls, this is y/n she is our new exchange student from America." I bowed in front of the class. "Y/n, I'm Ms.Chow, please come tell me if any of the students are causing you trouble." I nodded. "Alright y/n, you can sit in the back, behind Karry." Ms.Chow pointed to a smug looking boy, chewing bubble gum with earbuds in his ears. I nodded and made my way to the back of the class, when I tripped and feel on my hands and knees. Students snickered and whispered. My face flushed, I just wanted to just crawl in a hole and die. I looked up to see Karry smirking at me and I realized that he was the one who put his foot out for me to trip on. I shot him a glare and picked myself up from the ground. When Karry stuck his foot out again, which caused me to trip, once again, but instead of hitting the floor, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist from behind, steadying me. My face turned to a deep shade of red, I turned around to see a boy a bit taller than me, and my face turned even redder. The boy gave me a cheeky grin. "My name's Roy." I stared shyly at my feet. "Um" I muttered. I realized that Roy was still holding on to my waist. Roy's face flushed as he quickly let go of me. Then the room was filled with the murmurs and Snickers of the students. Clap! Clap! Ms.Chow clapped her hands "Alright class, settle down." The class immediately became silent. Roy rushed back to his seat, so did I. Today was going to be a long day.
