House of Wolves | The Guardian's Secret Series

Prelude

Day 1

Our nations are divided into five groups. There is the Guardians, the group that I so happen to be in. The majority of us live on a massive hovering rock of titanium and metal. With its strong metal-like shell, we called it House Of The Strong. We have lots of knowledge on the other groups, including The Eclipse. Our group is known for tranquility, equality, and peace, which is why we protect all the groups, except The Eclipse.

Next group is the House of Wolves. They are known for living within the wild, some without even a home. They will stand on nature's side, no matter the cost. However, by each day, their land is being ripped away by construction, which is making them small and feeble, but they believe that no matter the size, whatever you give within your heart, you can achieve greatness. They are known for optimism and being wise.

Here's a group that needs help. The Forgotten. They are scattered around the world, which makes it hard to find them. We want to place them in a group, but something tells me that of them being scattered, they don't want to be. They rarely cause any trouble, or at least we don't think they do. These people aren't really known for anything except being left out.

Ah yes, the Awakened. Legends say that this people live under the ground, and have dug many miles of trenches. Some say that they are currently developing ways to go to different planets. If that is true, who knows how much our colonies can develop? Even the House of Wolves. Although the Awakened are intelligent, they aren't the people you want to mess with. Their ways of modernization is actually to decrease in technology, yet it's actually something they use. Is it because they want to maintain what they have, but lie to us? I don't know, no one rarely believes the Awakened when they say things. It's pretty clear that they are known for being untrustworthy and reckless.

Last, but not least, The Eclipse. They are our enemy, in fact, everyone's enemy. They only seek trouble in the dark or darkness, which is why it's hard to detect them. Some of them aren't human, oddly enough. Some are built to be machines of warfare, so we call them the Tech. The humans who fight isn't a large number, they rely on their robots. The Eclipse have seek to claim land for their own, but if we let them, chaos will reign upon us all. They cause unhesitant damage to any colony, and sometimes it's even random! They are known for causing chaos and havoc.

The way we have separated one another is not bad, but not good either. In one place, we combined the Awakened with House of Wolves. In that one spot, they had been fighting for decades, almost leading to centuries until the first Guardian arrived and stopped it.

"Kattarr, why're you still up? You know you have school tomorrow." My dad spoke.

I never quite understood how he had a Irish accent, but I had a British one. Maybe my mom was British?

"Just writing, father. I had something on my mind, that's all."

"About the whole 'divergent systems' we have?"

I simply nodded.

"Well... That'll have to wait another day. A day where you wear this."

To his side is what approached a scarred helmet. It seemed to slash his whole helmet. I just stared at it with deep though, soon rubbing my hand over it to get a bit of dust off. I saw my reflection, and I couldn't see the man my dad saw.

"When will that be, father?" I question in curiosity.

"You'll know, son." He said with a grin, wrapping an arm around me and pulled me close for a hug.

I giggled as he did so, but my eyes stayed glued on the helmet. Hopefully I don't get a gash like that on my helmet.
