Here we was at the clinic . . Kelsi was 3 months pregnant and we couldn't afford no baby , I ain't have no money no job no nothing . How the fuck imma afford a baby ? I manage to get five hundred dollars from my uncle to afford this abortion . Kelsi was emotional because she was never a fan of this but what else we gone do other than bring a baby into poverty ?
I knew I had to get on my grown man shit cause I hated asking for shit ! I promise myself after today I was gone make something . . anything happen .
I looked at Kelsi as they called her name to begin the procedure . She wiped her eyes and gave me one last look , I kissed her for head " Imma be here waiting for you I love you Kelsi " I told her she just walked off with the nurse leaving me with my thoughts .
My uncle told me whenever I was ready to prove myself he'll be waiting . And around this time I was ready ! I'm 18 in the 12th grade with nothing to show , I wanted to take car of my momma and my girl .
Time went by and Kelsi finally came back out in the lobby crying and limping , I got up to help her walk " You alright baby ? " I asked her she pushed me away from her instead of answering . We didn't even have no transportation we had to walk all the way back to my house .

I woke up did my hygiene and went looking for my Uncle . I saw him in front the corner store with a couple youngins gambling . " Wassup unc ! " I dapped him up . " What's popping nephew ? He gave everything he just collected " Welcome to the game youngster I'll start you tomorrow but imma come pick you up later tonight " he said getting into his car . I nodded and went to get some real food for me and my FAM to eat .

I laid in bed thinking about yesterday . . it haunted me . I didn't even notice Wayne leaving this morning . I was 17 with nothing literally ! Didn't have no father and my mother was murdered when I was eleven she was at the wrong place at the wrong time she was my only family . Ever since then Wayne's mom took me in as her own adding to her stress . I've been with with Wayne since I was ten years old . Him and his mom was all I had other than god , faith and my education . I made sure to do well in school that's the least I could do and I tried to always keep Wayne up to par in school also .
I decided to do job applications on my mother in law computer I applied for different places all over I just wanted something , anything . I heard the door closed and Wayne walked in with a bag of food . " Where'd you get the money for this ? " I eyed him . " Don't worry baby just fix the table ma a be home any minute " he said dropping the bad on the counter .
" That's not a answer Wayne " I said setting the table " Unc " he simply answered . I shook my head Uncle mike always looked out but I knew he was always waiting for Wayne to join the business and I just knew he did something stupid .
My mother in law came through door taking of her heels I could tell she was exhausted " Hey momma " I kissed her cheek " Hey baby , what's this " she said looking at the table " Ask Wayne " I took her things putting them down for her " Wayne ! " she called out " Yeah ma ? " he answered coming from the bathroom " Explain where you got money to buy food " she said with her hand on her hip " Uncle Mike ma " he sighed pulling out a chair for her to sit . She sat down " I hope your not following in his foot steps " she gave him a look " Of course not ma can't we all just enjoy the meal of the day ? " he said annoyed by us both " Yeah , fine " I took my seat and we said grace before we ate .
I did more applications after dinner and decided to take a shower . When I was showering I heard the front door open and closed it was nine at night and usually we were always inside when its dark out . When I was done I went into my moms room to see her laying down looking up at the ceiling " Hey ma who just left out the door ? " I asked " Wayne and Mike " she sighed . I already knew she was under a lot of stress so I did my usual I grabbed the Aveeno lotion and started massaging her feet as we talked .

" So what we doing Unc ? " I asked as we drove in his truck . " Imma put you on but first I need to see how much pressure you can handle " he glanced at me " Wassup ? " I was ready for whatever . " This nigga that work for me talked to the cops its time for him to go " he drove slowly down some block where I saw a dude by himself hustling . I figured that's the target and my Uncle would make me take him out . " See that cat right there ? " he said scoping him out . I nodded my head as he handed me his gun " Handle that " he stopped and we both got out . " Wassup boy " he chuckled " Wassup boss " he said nervously " So you handling my work " he smiled at him posted . I sized him up " Yeah like always like always " he said trying to be calm . " So tell me why some cops put me on game about some shit somebody in my crew spoke up " he smiled . " look I got a daughter man I - " he said taking off running and we were on his trail . " Get his ass ! " my UNC yelled at me . I had a Lil experience with guns I remember hanging with unc one night and he showed me how shoot . I stopped and tried to aim I let four bullets loose I wasn't sure if he was dead but I know I shot his ass four time and he dropped . Unc ran up to his body I don't know what he did but he got on the phone and we was gone . " Good job , you took him out first quarter you a savage huh ? " he said dapping me up " This is his left over work sell it and I'll supply you more once you make sale " he said pulling up to my apartment building . " aight unc see you tomorrow " I said getting out I manage to stuff the bag of weed in my jacket to sneak back in the house .
I was hoping everybody would be sleep being that the house was dark and they were no noise . I walked in my room and Kelsi turned the light on " Where were you , why you ain't tell me you was leaving Wayne ? " she stood up facing me . I sucked my teeth and hid the weed " What the fuck is that " she said seeing me place it in the closet " A way for us to come up no more being broke " I responded " So this is what you turn to ? What happened to our promise we said we would get REAL jobs ! " she yelled . " Look Kelsi this ain't up for discussion dead the issue " he said undressing . " Dead the issue ? Fuck no " she snapped so I walked towards the door ready to leave I wasn't tryna hear her mouth . " Where you going " she jumped in front the door pushing me back "
" What the hell is going on in here !? " my mom said tying here robe turning in the light in the living room . " Ask this fool ! " she shoved me in my head " What's going on Wayne " I couldn't stand to tell my mom what I was doing so I went into the room grabbed a change of clothes the weed and I left . I decided to go to my homey Rico house .
" Wassup nigga " he said as we walked in his room " Fam tripping yo mom mind me staying the night ? " I asked " Na you know this like yo second home nigga " he said handing me a pillow and sheet to sleep on the couch .

I walked the hall looking around for Wayne but I couldn't find him , he never came home last night so I was worried . " Hey you seen Wayne ? " I asked one of the boys in by the water fountain , he looked me up and down before answering " Oh you his girlfriend he by the football field " he smirked at me . I walked and saw him exchanging something to somebody . I wanted to go off but I decided against it since he reacted by staying out the whole night last night . " Hey " I approached him . he arched his eyebrow " Wassup " he looked me over " Where'd you go last night ? " I asked him . " Rico's " he answered as another person came up to him and I saw them exchange money for weed . I sighed hating that this was now what he's doing for money . " I'm sorry Wayne baby I love you I just don't want this to be your career and I don't want it to get in between the people you love . . " I said referring to me and his mother . " And it won't I love you to bae just trust me " he pulled me to him and kissed me . I smiled looking at him " You promise ? " he held me tighter " I promise , not go to class I got things to do " he said smacking my butt before I turned to walk away .
I just hoped he wouldn't let the money get to his head ..
