The Stick

Have you ever had a moment where you thought your life was over? Or a moment where you wanted to kill yourself? Well that was me a few months ago. My boyfriend and I were sitting outside looking down at the stick that changed our lives. What kind of stick you ask? Not a stick that you use to whip your kids. At the time I wished it was that kind of stick. But no it was a pregnancy test. I cried and cried and cried some more. I remember Christian hugging me and telling me everything would okay. At the time I didn't believe him, but I should have.

"Christian my life is over. I can't be pregnant! My mom and dad are going to kill me." "It's going to be okay, they're not going to kill you." With tears streaming down my face I started to walk away. "Where are you going?!" Christian screamed. "Away from you!" I screamed back. I could hear him walking towards me, why wont he just leave me alone? Why am I PREGNANT? Why I did have sex in the first place? UGH! "Star stop!" "We can't be parents. We both don't have jobs. We live with our parents. We don't even have a car! OH MY GOD! What are people going to think about us? What are people going to think about me..? I'm a pregnant teenager. I'm going to be miserable just like those girls on 16 and Pregnant!" I shouted back. He laughed. "well maybe if you calm down and let me talk. I'll get a job and take care of you and the baby. And so what about what people think? They aren't the one pregnant. This our baby, not theirs." I just looked at him. How could he be so sure? He always acts like a know it all. "Yeah you forgot to mention something. What about our parents  stupid?" "Yes they're going to be mad at first, but once the baby is here I'm sure they will come around. Babe come on and stop crying. I promise everything is going to be okay."
