King Arthur

Chapter 1

I always loved that I could change into animals, never did I ever think that it'd get me into trouble.
I was happily running through the forest by Camelot when I seen the poor boy shivering from the cold. He was trying to sleep and on the cold ground, deciding to take pity on the poor boy I shifted into my wolf form and laid down by him. He stared at me in shock before gratefully cuddling closer to me for warmth, he sighed in relief when he started warming up.
"Thank you wolf." He whispered resting his head on his hands while leaning into my warm body. I simply placed my tail across his feet and laid my head on my paws, I laid watching the forest around us until the sun rose. I waited patiently for the boy to wake up on his own, he didn't get much sleep last night due to the  cold. A few minutes later he woke up, sitting up rubbing his eyes tiredly, i sat up and licked his face earning a smile. "Thanks again wolf, now if only I knew how to get to Camelot." He groaned packing up his small camp. I gently tugged on his fingers before walking off, checking to see him following me cautiously. I lead him to the edge of the forest and sat down looking over to Camelot. "Well, thanks again wolf. I'm sure glad you found me last night." He chuckles shaking his head stopping by me. Deciding to trust him I shifted into my human form.
"My name is Ginevra. And I'm happy I found you to, you looked so cold." I said smiling softly.
"So your magic to?" He asked excitedly.
"In a way, I'm just an animal shifter. Runs in my family for girls. And a heads up, don't use your magic in Camelot unless it's an emergency, the penalty for use of magic is death. King Uther's wife was killed by magic, that's why." I explained as we made our way into the gates, slowly making our way into the center by the castle.
"Oh, thanks for that too. But could you help me find Gaius?" He asked hopefully.
"Sure, that's where I'm staying at currently also." I smiled and easily made my way home. "Gaius, I'm here and this nice boy says he has a letter for you." I said when we walked in and closed the door behind us. Gaius turned around a little to fast and fell off the ladder, thankfully the boy moved Gaius' bed under him so he'd have a soft landing.
"Right, thank you boy. Now, what's this I hear about a letter for me?" Gaius asked calmly walking over to us.
"Right." He nodded pulling a letter out of his satchel and handing it over to Gaius. "Oh right, I'm Merlin." He added on sheepishly.
"Nice to met you Merlin." I smiled as Gaius looked up from the letter.
"It seems you'll be sharing a room after all Ginevra." Gaius said smiling a bit at the two of us.
"Okay Gaius, right this way Merlin." I smiled and lead him over to my, well our, room. "Nothing fancy but, better than the floor i suppose." I giggled softly making him chuckle and claim the bed on the left half of the room. "That curtain there is so we can change in privacy." I explained softly.
"Thank you again." He smiled at me from his bed.
"Your welcome, I could help you with your magic." I offered softly so Gaius wouldn't hear us. Merlin nodded happily and smiled thankfully. "Come on, I'll show you around." I said and stood, he followed and we walked back out to Gaius.
"Going to show him around Ginevra?" Gaius asked when we hit the main floor.
"Yes, I thought he'd like to know at least some what of where he's going."
I said smiling widely, Gaius chuckled and waved us off. I lead the way to the castle smiling at the Knights that were on duty and started explaining everything to him. We had just gotten back outside when we seen prince Arthur practicing his sword fighting. We stood and watched, it never ceases to amaze me how good he is. Noticing the blond girl aiming a knife for Arthur I pointed it out to Merlin. He nodded and kept a close eye on the knife, I slipped back and crept around to behind her. She threw the knife, watching as Merlin darted forward pushing Arthur and himself out of the way letting the knife hit the shield. I quickly grabbed the girls arms and held them behind her back making her walk out.
"I'm sorry about pushing you sir, but I panicked after seeing the knife." Merlin explained very sheepishly.
"It's alright, thank you. She's the one who threw it?" Arthur asked coming closer to us.
"Not to close your majesty, she did it with magic." I said worried he would get hurt.
"Thank you, both of you. YOU! Take her to the dungeons and wait for further orders." Arthur said as a knight came and took her away, I relaxed slightly and shifted over to Merlin's side gripping his arm as Arthur studied us. "I'd like for you both to be personal servants to me." He said in a demanding tone, Merlin and I quickly nodded, he bowed while I curtsied.
"Of course sir." We both said with small smiles to him.
"Follow me." He said before walking off, we waited until he was passed me before turning and following him as ordered to do. We went and talked to King Uther, which was terrifying all on its own. When everything was settled Arthur turned and left, so we bowed and curtsied Uther before following Arthur back to his room. Without him uttering a word to me and Merlin I went and picked out his sleep wear as Merlin helped him get all his armor off. Once I finished I set them gingerly on his bed before moving to help Merlin remove the rest of his armor. When that was finished both Merlin and I turned around for Arthur to change in privacy. "You two may go, I expect you both here bright and early." Arthur said moving to his bed.
"Good night sir, see you tomorrow bright and early." I said smiling sweetly.
"Please call me Arthur." He said before laying down as we blew out the candle and left quietly. By the time we got home we both just collapsed onto our beds falling asleep instantly.

~hey guys, so I've recently started watching the tv series Merlin on Netflix. Me being me, decided to write a fanfic based on it and my imagination. I'll post a picture of Ginevra in the next chapter. Sweet dreams or wonderful day, depending on where you are.
