They're Fighting Again

"No, just leave me alone!" I wake up as I hear my mom scream, she's been doing that a lot lately.

Who would blame her, since the tragic accident my dad has been drinking like crazy, it's not only that, he's started to be abusive and uncaring. Yeah If you're wondering what accident it's kinda. complicated to tell

I storm out of my room as I head to my parents room to help my mom.

"Dad! Just leave her already! Can't you see you've hurt her enough?!" I scream at him as he gives me a cold glare

"What are you doing here?! Get out now!" He shouts as he pushes my mom off him

"No! I'm not going anywhere!" I shout as he looks at me annoyed

"No, just go I'll deal with him" My mom says as she tries to get up, man seeing her like this makes me wanna kill this son of a b**ch right now

"No mom I can't leave you here" I say as tears form in my eyes

"No, I'll be fine" She says as she wipes away blood from her nose

"You heard her! Now get out!" He shouts as he comes closer to me

"No! Why Are you doing this?!" I ask a little scared as he was too close to me

"Why Am I doing this?! You are the last person to ask me that!" He slaps me hard on my cheek

I storm out of their room because I didn't want to be beaten up like my mom.

"No please!" I hear my mom shout until she stops, then I hear the kitchen door close, that's when I realize that the beast is gone

I go to my parents room to check up on my mom and I find her lying on the floor coughing up blood. That beast nearly killed her, I hate him with all my heart. I pick her up and swing her hand over my shoulder as I take her to the bathroom. I pour some water in the basin and clean her wounds.

"Ouch!" She cries out from pain

"Sorry, I'm trying to prevent the wounds from getting infected " I say

"That hurts" She says

"All done" I say giving her a smile as I drain out the water

"Thank you, I don't know what I would be without you" She smiles with tears in her eyes

"I love you mom " I say as I hug her

"Love you too Nadia, now go to sleep you have four hours before morning and you have school tomorrow " She says smiling

"Oh, I forgot about school, let me get going then" I say as I head upstairs to my room

It's 3:30 am and I still can't get some sleep so I got to the kitchen to get some coffee. As I pass by my mom's room I hear her sob and that worries me a lot

"Mom whats wrong?" I ask as I close the door behind me

"Oh it's nothing honey, just go to sleep " She says faking a smile

"No mom tell me, I know something's bothering you" I say as I sit next to her. I know my mom very well and I see when she's lying to me.

"I miss her" She says as tears run down her cheeks. I hug her tight as I couldn't hold back my own tears

"I miss her too, and it's all my fault " I say as tears run down my face like a river and I start shaking

"No honey it's not your fault, you didn't know that the accident will happen " She says trying to comfort me

"Yes it's my fault, even dad says so " I say as I shake out of control

"Shhh " My mom says as she hugs me tight

I stay in my mom's embrace as I let sleep consume me feeling safe in my mom's hands
