A Team Rocket Story (Name in Progress)

Chapter 7

"Me?!" Jessie scoffed.

"Yes you!" Meowth added, "You're the reason we could never get anything done right!"

Houston and I ran over and grabbed each of our partners, "James calm down!" I told him and pulled on his arm.

Jessie continued screaming as Houston tried pulling her away, "Oh Grow up! It wasn't just me! You two were twice as worse than me!"

James growled slightly and pulled me into his arms for a hug, "Forget you! Having Tessie as a partner is a million times better than you!"

Jessie scoffed, "A letter changed in my name and suddenly she's better than me?!"

"Of course she is! She doesn't treat us like dirt!" Meowth yelled.

I pushed on James chest while Houston pulled Jessie away, "Okay, James, Meowth, you guys need to cool down..."

James sighed deeply, "Alright..alright... I'm sorry..."

"What happened with her?"

Meowth hissed slightly, "Nyaah well Jessie was just being rude and decided to tell us that we should hand over the Pokemon you gave James to her."

Something in me snapped slightly, "What?"

James shook his head and groaned, "Jessie told me I should just steal the Pokemon you gave to me and give them to her." He crossed his arms, "Like I'd betray my new partner..."

An angry grin formed on my face, "Stupid bimbo." I grumbled.

"There's no chance I'd give her these Pokemon.." James sighed.

"She doesn't deserve Pokemon as great as those anyways..." Meowth growled.

I shook my head, "Well they're not even my Pokemon right now; but she'd have to take them over my dead body.." I groaned, "Whatever, I'm going to my dorm... I'll catch you guys tomorrow." I started walking off, leaving the two at the battle ground.

"Nighty night, Tessie." I heard James say, then repeated by Meowth. I waved back at them as I went into the facility.

Walking towards my dorm room, i let Arcanine out of his poke'ball to walk with me. I started thinking about everything James has done today compared to everything the boss has always time me about him.

"He and his team are useless."

"James hardly listens when given orders."

"He's the one screwing up all the missions."

I get the feeling that Giovanni favors Jessie over James at times, but I don't see why. James followed my orders perfectly today, he didn't mess up anything, and he was pretty helpful today.

Suddenly Arcanine barked to get my attention. I looked in his direction to see I walked past my door, "Oh, sorry bud." I told him and walked back. I unlocked the door and pushed it open, letting Arcanine in first. I walked in after him and shut the door behind me, taking off my belt, holding my poke'balls. Arcanine went off to his bottom bunk bed to sleep while I walked into the bathroom. I did what I had to and changed out of my uniform into some baggy clothes and went back out to my bed. I pet Arcanine's head right before I climbed up to the top bunk, soon falling asleep.

The next morning I woke up, and got around quickly. I walked out of my dorm, locked it, and went to find James. I took out my phone and asked Houston for his dorm number, and as soon as it was given to me, I went to his room. I stood outside and knocked, "James, wake up." I stood there for about a minute before I started pounding again. Finally, I heard some grumbling and a few inaudible remarks from Meowth before the door opened, and James stood in the door. His blue hair was in a messy pony tail, and he wasn't wearing a shirt, "Wake up, both of you. " I told him, trying to keep myself from staring at him in this state.

James rubbed his eyes, "Well good morning to you too." He let me in and I walked over to Meowth, whom was sleeping in a cat bed in the window.

I looked back at James, who had just thrown himself back onto his bed, "What're you doing?" I asked him.

He turned his head and looked at me, "What's the hurry?"

I picked up Meowth and held him like a regular cat and started petting him, "Why are you being so lazy about this?"

Suddenly Meowth yawned and started talking with his eyes closed, "You do know we Rocket members aren't required to wake up early for work, right?"

"What..? Yes we do!" I protested.

Meowth spoke again, "Who told you that? Houston?"

"Maybe." I set down on the bed next to James, with Meowth in my lap.

James chuckled, "Well he's wrong." James reached under one of the pillows and pulled out a book, the Team Rocket guide book to be exact, "Open this to page 37-"

I snatched the book from him, "I know what page it is." I opened the book to the right page and read through it, "Wha-"

"Team Rocket members are not required to be awake at any certain time as long as they clock in before noon." James said word for word in a snarky voice, "There fore we can still sleep."

Meowth snickered in his sleep, "A class A thief didn't even know that." I picked him up by his tail and threw him back in the window.

"Shut up, Cat." I sighed, "Well I'm already here, so get up."

Suddenly James grabbed me by my arm and pulled me down so my back was on the bed. He turned his head again to look at me and smile, "Or since you're already here, go back to sleep and we can get to work later."

I sighed and felt my face redden a little, "Whatever." I looked away crossed my arms.

I heard James chuckle, "I knew you'd be up for it."

We had about two hours before they actually had to get up. James and Meowth were already fast asleep and I was just lay on James bed staring up at his ceiling. I looked over to James, laying beside me. He was laying on his back, with his hair going everywhere on the pillow. Houston never let me into his room when we were partners, and he never laid this close to me no matter what we were doing. James was a lot friendlier than him, apparently.

I feel like James might be one to change me a little, or vice versa.
