"Emily honey, wake up...we're here!" My mother's voice instantly woke me up as I slowly opened my eyes. I wiped the tired out of my eyes and groggily got out of the car. Finally we were here from all of the time we checked into hotels and constant restroom stops at some random gas stations. We stopped in Houston to buy some things at the Galleria mall and in San Antonio to look at the Alamo and the Riverwalk. And man, there was a lot of traffic!

I gasped in surprise at the beautiful house in front of me. There was a white house with a green glossy yard in front of it; which contained a big oak tree and various flowers and plants. It looked country all right, but I could already tell that I'll feel comfortable staying in it. Next to the house was what looked like a cliff with a just as beautiful scenery. I inhaled deeply, taking in all the phumes of the hill country.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Dad suddenly came out of nowhere, admiring the view with me. I nodded, completely in daze. "And to think this is all ours..."

I snapped out of my trance and felt like exploring, "Hey dad, can I walk around for a while to-"

"Sure honey," He interuptted me, "But no talking to strangers, okay? I don't want to be a grandpa just yet."

I giggled and slapped his arm, "Oh daddy, you and your insecurities." I hugged him tight and whispered, "I'll be back soon." I then walked out of our driveway and looked at all the other similar houses next to ours. I walked by a house that had children playing in the front yard. Once they turned around to see me, I smiled at them. I applied that they were going to return the favor, but instead they screamed and ran to their mom in their garage. "HELP MOMMY, STRANGER DANGER!"

I widened my eyes in surprise and ran out of sight before their mom saw me. Once I thought I was out of eye range, I slowed down and began to walk at normal pace again. I looked up at the crystal blue sky that was adorned with white fluffy clouds and the bright sun. In Colorado, we saw the sun and the clouds on rare terms and the sky would usually be midnight dark all day. I also took notice of all the preppy morning joggers that either had a baby carriage with them or a cup of Starbuck's coffee in their hand. I scoffed.

Before i knew it, a force bumped into me, making me fall onto my butt on the concrete sidewalk. Right when I was about to tell the stranger to watch where they were going, I was looking into warm chocolate brown eyes.

"I'm so sorry," A deep husky voice distracted me from his eyes. The handsome stranger helped me off of the ground with his big hands on my arms. "I forgot to watch where I was going." He chuckled. Damn, even his laughter was sexy! I then took a look at him from head-to-toe. His dark brown, soft-looking hair that made me want to run my fingers in it, his perfectly straight why teeth that were smiling warmly, his obvious ripped muscles behind his black wife beater, his hairy legs that were showing under his basketball shorts, and the sweat that was pouring down from his body.

Uh, can I say yum?

Snapping out of the second daze I had that day, I tried to regain my voice. "O-Oh, it's fine. It's probably my fault that I did that. I always was clumsy..."

He chuckled again, and then raised his eyebrow, "Hey, I've never seen you around here before, are you new?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I just moved in this afternoon."

"Where from?"

"Colorado."

He whistled lowly, "Damn, that's a long way away from here. So, do you like it here so far?"

I shrugged, " I don't know yet. That's why I was walking around to see what I can discover."

"Trust me, you'l love it here. Especially our high school, it's the best. Go Jaguars!" He pumped his fist in the air. "Oh, blame my tatics. I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Alexander." He stook his large hand towards me. Hm, Olivia always told me that a guy's best feauture are their hands...

I oblieged and shook his hand, trying to ignore the thousand of sparks that I felt when our hands made contact. "I'm Emily, but you can call me Emma." I smiled.

"Well Emma, I guess I'll see you around." He winked at me before jogging again. I held my stomach to tame all the wild butterflies fluttering around in there. As I looked at his muscles as he ran, I sighed in content.

I think I'm startting to like Texas already.
