His POV
I have known this girl for a long time.
No.
Not just that.
I loved her for a long time.
Loved her so much that I need to let her go.
We’ve been together for years. We were very happy then.
I loved her so much and even now I still do.
Why did I let her go?
Have I gone out of my mind?
I loved her but I sent her away.
This is because we have come to this certain point of challenge between our relationship.
The time to end these precious moments we’ve been sharing.
“Dad I just can’t let her go! I love her, why can’t you understand?”
“No Lance. Whether you like it or not, you need to break up with her. You need to marry Mica, the heiress of Felix Empire after you graduate. No buts.”
“When will the time that you’ll stop dictating my life!? I’m not your puppet Dad, I’m your son!”
“Shut up! There’s nothing that you can do. And if you still insist on what you want, I swear I’d put her and her family in misery! I’m dead serious here Lance, mark my words!” and with that he left.
In the end I was forced to break up with her even if I don’t want to, for the sake of her and her family’s safety. I didn’t show up on her after the break up.
I just can’t bear the pain whenever I saw her.
I broke her heart into pieces.
But life’s really making things complicated for us. We were attending the same school since both of us have one last year of our college. And that makes it harder, to see her every time.
I can see her pains.
The love in her eyes.
The longing.
Even if it’s been months since I broke up with her.
One day we met on the lobby of our engineering building. I am an Engineering student and she’s taking up Accountancy. So I did wonder why she’s on our building. But that doesn’t matter now for me.
We stood there for almost 10 minutes maybe.
How I wish I could hug her tight right from that very moment, but I have no strength of doing so. And then she spoke.
“Lance … How are you?” she smiled bitterly.
“Fine” I just said coldly. I don’t want her to have a hint of my depression.
“Good then… Me? … I’m not … I still do love you Lance. I do! … Please … Please come back to me. I’ll do whatever you want. Please come back to me … Please Lance?”
Oh geez! She’s pleading. What do I do? Even I want to I just can’t. Sorry Rochelle. And then I turned my back at her, but then she cling to my arms and so I turned back. The moment I turned to look at her she dropped on her knees, knelt down on the floor.
I was shocked. She’s really frail. Please Rochelle quit that. Stand up or else I will not be able to protect you.
“Please … I’m …*sniff* begging you Lance *sniff* ... Don’t leave Me.*sniff*” she said between her sobs.
