Chapter 75;

"Was this your intension all along ?" I snapped .

"Be a little kinder to me, my sister just-

"Who is also my mate! I'm this pack's Alpha! " I roared as everything shook.

The council members stayed silent.
"We will discuss-

"We can always fight for it" he said glaring at me.

"Our the question!" Faith shouted .
"She is pregnant for fucks sake" she growled at him.

"You are crazy." I said .

He laughed and shrugged his shoulders .
"That's how it is."

"Last time I checked, these people don't like you . Why would the accept you over me."

"I'm stronger. Not pregnant and can protect them. All things you cannot." He said .

I growled and grabbed his neck slamming him to the wall.

"Stop!" Faith shouted watching us.

"I want you out!" I screamed .

He smiled and pulled my hand off him as he opened the door and waiting .
"My offer is still on the table council." He said as he walked away.

I growled .
"Jason make sure he is gone ."

He nodded and rushed off as I sighed and looked at them.

"We will let you know." He said as they vanished .

"I'll do everything in my power." Faith said and disappeared .
Groaning out of anger I sat on my desk and covered my eyes.

Tears ran down my face as I looks up to the ceiling .
"Why did you leave me with all this mess.." I cried as I grabbed something from her desk and threw it .

It shattered all on the floor as the door opened, Kyle walked in looking at me.
"You look a mess" he said

I laughed and rolled my eyes . He handed me a tissue as I nodded wiping my eyes.

"I won't sit here and lie to you like they are. It's gonna be hard day by day. Your going to want to give up, but you won't because your stronger than that ." He said .

I looked down at my feet .
"Strong.." I laughed .

"You are even in hard times like this, you have family and pack members who don't know what your going through but are willing to do what they can to help you." He said looking at me .

I looked at him.
"They just told me I'm Alpha of two packs than Michael comes in trying to claim it ." I shook my head .

"What the hell does he want with this pack in the first place, he has his stupid hybrids ."

"That's what I thought. "

"No one would pick him -

"And If they do? I'm pregnant . I can't protect this pack?"

He laughed and smiled at me .

"That's why I have a plan." He said pointing to the door .

Vincent walked in smiling .
I raised my eyebrow at him.
"This is a perfect opportunity for me to learn. I'll look after the pack until you can, we will be both protecting this pack.. Mom this is a good idea, we will make the packs see this ."

I bit my lip, he was still young. Was this the only way.
I sighed but smiled looking at him.

"I'll think it over , and hold a meeting "

He smiled and nodded walking away

Kyle chuckled.
"Think about it? It's his birth right ."

"Yes. But he will go up against his uncle " I said looking at where he walked away.

"This could get ugly" I said looking over at him.

"That your right ." He said .
"Either way, he won't win, we will go to plan B"

"B? We had an A?" I laughed .

"Finally you laughed"

He was right .. Since I found out I haven't smiled or laughed.
"Don't get used to it " I said standing up .

"Half of me died with her.. I won't ever be the same"

I walked away and down the hall. I passed be the stairs seeing people making a small shrine of Vikki. Flowers and candles lit.
They saw me bowed .

I nodded as they walked away. Vanessa stood there looking at everything , she glanced my way and looked away fast .
Me and her we're drifting .

The door flung open revealing Alvin . He looked around and ran to me. I embraced him as he sighed rubbing my back.

"When did you wake?" I asked .

"Couple hours ago.. I heard ." He said looking at me teary eyed.

"I'm fine ." Lies..

"I'm so sorry." He said .

I nodded looking back at the tiny shrine .

"How is your pack?" I asked changing the subject .

"Everyone is still out especially my mate." He sighed.

I nodded.
"Same here, two died-
I stopped my self thinking of Vikki my heart broke again.

"Three." I corrected myself .

He frowned and rubbed my arm.
"Things will get better."

"Thing will never get better" I said to him .

"Alpha! Vampire's located at the border."

I looked down at Jason and Kyle. I growled and walked down the stairs.

"Melissa, it's not-

"They killed my mate." I turned
Looking at everyone who was up.

"They killed your Alpha so let's
Go kill there whole clan!"

Everyone screamed as they fist pumped into the air.

"Wait !" Jason said .

I looked over at him.

"They retreated." He said .

Everyone sighed and sat down talking .
I balled my fist .

"Mom think of the baby." Vanessa said grabbing my hand.

"She is right ." Vincent said taking my other hand.

"I have a announcement !"

Everyone looked over at me as I sighed and my kids squeezed my hands.
"As you know , Vikki is no longer.. With us. With that being said there is talk, and I am pregnant. I cannot protect you as much as I want too. To help me out my son Vincent will take over things while I'm still having my pup, this does not change a thing . He is to be Alpha anyway at his 18th.. But seeker what is going on this is good practice , I will still be your Alpha so do not panic . Also you should know Vikki's pack members will soon have to vote, her brother thinks he has right to be Alpha even if it's Vincents birth right ."

Everyone was talking , mostly her pack.

"Hear me out, I may be young but I will not turn my back on you like Michael has done in the past for this pack. I'll be the Alpha you dreamed on. Please give me a chance ." Vincent said .

I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Well said."

Everyone clapped as I looked shocked .
Everyone bowed as Vincent blushed smiling .

This was our new beginning right ?
