My name is Sophie and I'll be starting at this new school. I'm super nervous because I'm going to a private school for the first time. My parents won the lottery, $1 millon! They want to take me to a private school instead of buying a new house or anything! Seriously, we live in a crammed up apartment which has no space for my parents and my 3 sisters, Lucie, Kellie, and Sallie. Yes, apparently my mom and dad wanted to end all of our names with ie instead of y. Come on, we could've been Lucy, Kelly, Sally and Sophy! Anyway, my apartment is so small that me and my three sisters have to share ONE bedroom. I have to sleep in the same bed as Lucie. And Kellie and Sallie have to sleep in the same bed. My parents sleep on the same couch. We weren't that rich until we won the lottery, my mom and dad couldn't afford to even buy us clothes anymore, but that's not the case. I now have to go to a NEW PRIVATE SCHOOL with all the expensive people and popular girls and those obnoxious rich and spoiled guys. But, I do get a nicer school. I've seen it. It's AMAZING. In my old school the floors were dirty and everything was just gross and the cafeteria food had mold on it. Here, I hear the food is to die for. Oh, the new school I'm going to is called "Ellington Academy" also known as EA. My old school was "Mesa High School." It was horrible at Mesa.
Anyway, tomorrow is the day I start Ellington Academy. I'm really nervous and scared but slightly happy because I heard the teachers are actually nice at Ellington unlike Mesa. Mom keeps saying "change is another word for opportunity" and she is right, this is an opportunity to experience a more expensive campus, amazing food, and everything. Ellington may not be as bad as I think it will.
