Amends with Herself.

Silenced converstaions as she walks by,

You'd never know her because she's so shy.

Just a girl who thought she did nothing wrong,

But was bullied and felt like she didn't belong.

Her head downcast and her hair covering her damp eyes,

No one cares nor notices her pleading cries.

She doesn't dare tell a parent or teacher,

In fear of people thinking she's even more of creature.

Venomous words and looks that hurt,

She now thinks of herself as nothing more than dirt.

Not a soul in sight sitting at her lunch table,

'A patheic human being' is her brand new label.

She started to believe the teens who were her verbal abusers,

She continuously thought, "I don't deserve to live because I am a loser"

A blade so sharp often intervened her quiet and harsh thoughts,

She cried with the pain, hoping it would loosen a few knots.

Trying not to draw any attention, she dressed in all black,

Once again, her feelings were attacked.

She had a choice to make,

Continue her life, or end it for her own sake.

A handful of pills, a trigger at ready, or a dangling rope,

She had completely given up all that was left of her hope.

Just when she thought that her life was of no worth,

A teen she didn't recognize smiled and said hello.

Each day that she saw the smile of this friendly boy,

She little-by-little no longer saw her self as a decoy.

She forgot about her plan to end her life,

She forgot about the pain she felt with her knife.

She realized that not everyone hated her,

That her heart was special and very pure.

Her and this boy became really good friends,

And because of him, with herself she made amends.

~~~Just by the simplest acts, you could save a life. Be nice to those around you because you never know if it could affect them in a way of extreme sadness. Seriously. You may never even know what you did to save their life, and that's why it's easier to just always be kind and generous. The simplicity of a smile, or the fond gesture of "Hello" could ultimatly end up helping someone make amends with themselves. Don't be afraid to say hi to someone who everyone else hates. Everyone may think you are 'uncool', but ignore them. You'll end up being the bigger person for saving someones' life... :D~~~
