IM SORRY ABOUT NOT UPDATING!! I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN FORGIVE ME
Flint walked down the stairs, anticipating an attack from every direction. His blue eyes darted back and forth, aware of any movement whether it be rat or insect. Ahead, he could see light pouring in from a doorway, the exit ahead of him. He walked swiftly, wanting to leave the dark stairs.
A sudden movement behind him caught his attention, and it was only a second before his anger rose once again.
"Cinder!?" Flint shouted as he turned around. "Why are you here!?"
"I said I wouldn't let you go alone." Cinder replied, walking past him.
"Go back." Flint said, grabbing her shoulder. She stopped in her tracks, then turned around. Her eyes were once again blazing, her anger revealing itself in her eyes, she was tired of Flint rejecting her help.
"No." Was her simple answer. Flint was surprised. Her eyes were basically cooking the air around her and yet she managed a calm answer, much less with only one word.
"Now." Flint said, pointing back towards the top of the stairs.
"That mark on your arm says I don't have to." Cinder said, pointing to the claw mark on his arm.
"I say you do." Flint said, his mind running short on comebacks.
"Flint, I'm tired of you ignoring me when you need help! At the very least, you could try considering!" Cinder shouted, her anger finally getting the best of her. Flint was about to respond when his mind once again was invaded, Cinder's mind also being infiltrated.
"How cute. A squabbling couple. How pathetic." Cassinova taunted. Flint's face suddenly became serious, Cinder however was only wondering who was talking to her telepathically.
"I'm going to kill you." Flint replied, pushing past Cinder. Suddenly, he heard a child crying. Flint slowly turned around, hoping that the crying was coming from behind him.
It wasn't.
"You know, your child sure is a beautiful one. Ashame she's being wasted by becoming your child." Cassinova said, confirming his fear. Cassinova had somehow kidnapped his daughter.
"If even a drop of her blood falls, I'm going to kill you." Flint threatened, his pace quickening. Cinder had trouble keeping up with him, his longer strides nearly separating them. Cinder quickened her pace, somehow keeping up with Flint. Flint saw the slightest movement to his right, not hesitating to stop he quickly killed the Beowulf with his sword, the staff transforming itself in less than a second. Cinder stepped over the beast's disappearing body, not a ting to even touch the beast.
Cassinova had cut off her telekinesis, their minds no longer being infiltrated. Cinder was rushing now too, her Amber eyes darting back and forth. It was as if Flint had been here before, as they had come out of the winding forest and into an open plain. Before them, blacking out the plain, stood multiple deathstalkers. All of them were gigantic, their stingers hanging over 50 feet easily.
"Welcome, Flint." Said a male voice. The male was hidden from view, the shadows concealing him. Flint's eyes widened as soon as he heard the voice.
"Ironwood!?" Flint exclaimed, taking a small step back as if he had been assaulted.
"Hello again, Flint." Ironwood smiled, stepping out of the shadows. Cinder glared at him, believing that he was how Cassinova had taken their daughter.
"You're in league with the enemy!?" Flint shouted. Ironwood merely smiled, then chuckled to himself.
"I am not merely in league with the enemy," Ironwood started. He closed his eyes, then smiled once more. Ironwood threw a wooden basket at Flint. Flint caught the basket, realizing that the crying he heard coming from the box was familiar.
"I am the enemy." Flint heard Ironwood say before Ironwood clicked a remote he pulled from his pocket. Instantly, the floor opened up beneath he and Cinder. Flint looked at Cinder, both of them falling in mid-air.
She was his last view before the ground appeared, slamming into him.
----
"Is that all you remember?" Ozpin asked, his brow rising in curiosity.
"Aside from landing with my daughter next to me, unharmed." Flint responded.
"Well, then that explains it." Ozpin said, placing his hands on his knees and standing up. A nurse suddenly walked in, handed Ozpin a tube with a thick red liquid, and walked back out of the room. Ozpin looked at the vile, then looked back at Flint.
"I'm sure you're wondering why you've been forced to stay here. One, it was for your own good. No one knows you're here. Two, we needed to test something......" Ozpin began, signaling to the vile.
"You were testing my blood? For what?" Flint asked after Ozpin nodded at his first question.
"Your memory you have just told me has given me a hypothesis. Flint, have you ever considered that maybe you aren't what you thought you were?" Ozpin asked, the question bringing a shocked look to Flint's face.
"What do you mean? I'm not human?" Flint asked, the shock obvious in his light tone.
"You were born human. Flint, did you really think that your daughter, a 6 month old baby girl, survived a fall that knocked you out for days? What I'm thinking is that Ironwood had somehow caught your daughter, then placed her next to you. Afterwards, my guess is that he inserted Grimm DNA into your body, making you half Grimm, thus the transformation." Ozpin explained.
"You can't be serious." Flint's voice had so much disbelief in it. Who wouldn't? Being told that someone somehow changed his chemical make-up making him not human would lead someone to disbelief as well.
"I am always serious."
