I rolled out of bed hitting my wooden floor. "Ow! Fu- fudge cake with icing sugar." I yelled stopping myself from swearing. I really needed to put some carpet in this room...
I got dressed and ran downstairs. "Here's breakfast, honey." Mom said handing me toast. I took a bite. "I have to go. I running late. Bye mom." I said hurriedly running out the door.
I walked into the start of year assembly (which apparently wasn't a thing last year). Just another new school.
Mr. Duval droned on and on about the school rules. But he talked about this girl who got hit by a bus which was interesting. "Now we have a new student. Alana Jones please come to the front." Mr. Duval said.
"Now say a few words about yourself." Mr. Duval encouraged. "Umm hi. I'm Alana Jones. Although you already knew that because Mr. Duval just told you. Anyway, I'm a theatre nerd/ jock and no I don't want to get involved in your Girl Drama. It's bad for my health. I just hop everywhere and er well it's just weird. Like so weird." I said awkwardly.
I looked at my first lesson. Calculus with Ms. Norbury. I walked in and sat down in a hair next to this nice looking girl. "Hi, I'm Regina George. The only person in this school to get hit by a school bus." She said. "Hey, I'm Alana Jones. You probably heard me introduce myself in the assembly. I ramble a lot and I get distracted really easily so it was a really long introduction. I don't think it really made sense. I'm so sorry I am just rambling about rambling now." I said really fast. Regina laughed.
At lunch I sat with these really nice people. Cady, Kevin, Janis and Damien. They said Cady's boyfriend moved though or something like that.
Well anyway I survived Day 1 and maybe even made some friends! I think I'm going to like North Shore High.
