"But who was the howler from?" Hermione inquired. "What did they want you to do? Why did they send it? Who was yelling?" She glanced at Harry, who was whispering something to Ron. "Harry, why aren't you listening to me?"
"Sorry," Harry mumbled. "It's from Sirius."
"Are you being Sirius right now?" Ron elbowed his friend in the ribs. Harry winced.
"That's not funny!" Hermione spit out. "Sirius can't just be sending howlers- what if they recognize his voice? He could be in danger, he could-"
"Hey, Harry," Parvati said. She had crept up behind Harry and wrapped an arm around his waist, effectively trapping him. "What are you talking about? Who's... Sirius?"
Harry squirmed, unable to free himself from Parvati's iron grip.
Ron's eyes were the size of galleons. "How much did you hear?"
"Enough." Parvati winked. She turned to kiss Harry's cheek. "See you at the common room," she whispered, and slinked away.
Harry ran his fingers through his untidy black hair. Ron watched him apprehensively. The two boys exchanged glances, terrified of the knowledge that Parvati now possessed and the leverage she had.
"She doesn't know who Sirius is!" Hermione yelped. "She doesn't know anything"
"Are you kidding me? Sirius was all over the f*cking news all of last year! Of course Parvati knows who he is!" Ron retorted.
Hermione crossed her arms over her chest. "Parvati's a nice girl. I don't think she means any harm," she said, and that was that.

After the long and grueling day of classes was over, Harry, Ron, and Hermione retired to the Gryffindor common room. Once they entered, the three were greeted with the sight of Parvati sitting cross-legged on a plush armchair, sneering.
"So this little friend of yours... he sent the howler?" Parvati looked Harry in the eye, and said, "Shouldn't he be dead? But it's okay! No one has to know. It can be our little secret."
Harry felt blood rush to his face. He barely heard Ron tell him to calm down. Harry charged full force at Parvati, but he didn't attack her. The whole common room stood there, shocked, as Harry and Parvati passionately made out on the armchair.
Finally Seamus broke the silence. "Is that Harry?"
"Sure doesn't seem like something he would do," George elbowed a fifth year standing next to him.
Very soon the whole common room was joking around about it, but Parvati and Harry were still going strong. They didn't seem to be breathing at all. Suddenly, Harry jerked backwards, and fell sound asleep.
