I ran through the rain desperate to get home. The reports would be home soon. Splattering on my face, the rain turned to hail freezing me through my thin blazer. I need to get home I thought. But then I thought what happens if not.... I tried not to think that but the more I thought the more I believed I failed. No I couldn't have! Could I ?!?!
"Mum, I'm home! Where are the results?" I yelled loudly.
She seemed to take all the time age possibly could and was extremely quiet.
"Mum?"
Coming down the stairs was a man. His shirt was smart and he looked absolutely perfect. Standing still he looked at me angrily.
"Get out of my house now!" He thundered
Staggering in shock I gulped and whispered " what? This is my house!"
In fury he shoved me outside throwing three letters into my hands.

Dear Miss Lilac Darson,
Unfortunately you failed to pass your entry exam to The College of Music.
We are very sorry about this but this year we had way too many students wanting us to educate them. We hope you understand.
Kind Regards
Miss Jennyfer Smythes

I just stood there shocked. No..... I knew that the only thing I could do now was read the other letters.

Dear Mrs Darson,
As you know well enough you need to pay your house bills. I know fully that you are relying on your daughter to receive the scholarship and then sell it, but unfortunately on the school website the award has gone to Mr Jenson Smythes. Please give me the money or else you will be removed off this premise.
Mr Edwards

I just gulped. There was one more letter. Would this one lead me to mum?!
