The Nightmare

I woke up floating, unaware of my surroundings. I was in the deep end of an abandoned pool, and i felt my heart start to beat faster by the second.

I swam to the closest edge of the pool and climb out. I then realize that everything i was looking at was in black and white, along with hearing no sound, which gave me a feeling of being in a horror movie. All around me were towels and chairs astray, abandoned, just like the pool itself. I see the metal fence surrounding the pool and make my way for the gate.

As i step onto the grass, i feel my feet squish and sink a few inches under the mud. I run to the gate only to find it locked with a large padlock. I then feel something appear on my feet, causing me to jump back. I looked down and saw a long, thin sword at my feet. I picked it up and that's when I felt the first tentacle-like thing wrap itself around my leg.

I easily cut it loose and return my attention and focus to the padlock. Just as I am about to break it loose, 3 more tentacles wrap themselves around my body and start tugging me. They bring me into the pool, and I free myself in about 20 seconds of being under.

I swim for my life to the closest edge of the pool. As I get out of the pool, I turn around to see the darkness growing, spreading itself out in the pool like a drop of food coloring in a cup of water.

I see an opening in a part of the fence close by the gate. I desperately run for the opening, clutching the sword in my hands. I pulled the fence back making the hole bigger. The familiar feel of the tentacles returns, this time an uncountable amount of them wrap around me. They pull me so hard, i drop the the sword, and my heart drops too.

I'm brought down underwater again, losing all hope along with my chance of survival. The tentacles continue to wrap themselves around me like a present. I squirm and wriggle in hopes that don't exist of escaping, but it's no use. I finally give up, knowing nothing can be done about my fate. My body goes loose and limp. I sink to the bottom, covered in tentacles, knowing I'm dead.
