Ch 2

"Hurry up with the popcorn already! I'm craving that buttery goodness." Alexia shouted to Candice, who was in the kitchen.

"Calm down, woman! This is a science!" Candi replied across the rooms.

"A science? How is making popcorn a science?" I scoffed, thinking about where I found these lovable idiots.

"You have to determine the perfect amount of time you should leave the popcorn to pop so it doesn't burn, duh, science." She said in a mocking tone. When she finally came with our popcorn, we settled under the covers and stared at the screen, ready to watch the movie.

And then it hit us.

"I made popcorn, I'm not getting up."

"Yeah, but it's your house, you have to be a good host." Lexi argued.

"Oh please, you're both here more than Jason is even here!" Candi scoffed.

"You two are so lazy," I said, getting up to put the DVD in. The sound of male voices came from the front door, so I figured Jason and his friend had arrived. Lexi and Candi were adjusting themselves so they looked 'natural' when the boys came in. I rolled my eyes and bent down to insert the disc.

"Damn, girl! You've got one fine ass on display there!" Jason spoke, entering the living room. I immediately straitened up and crossed my arms over my chest, shooting him and annoyed look. He came toward me and put his arm around my shoulder. "You know I'm just playing with you, beautiful. Your ass is fine, but I like you for much more than just your booty." He said, and i couldn't help but laugh at that.

"So how's Rachel? You know, your girlfriend?" Candi shot, all three of us giggled, thinking about our conversation earlier.

"She's great, I guess, I haven't really spoken to her since yesterday. Been trying to cut down my texting so I can focus on my studies." He said, oblivious to his sisters mocking tone.

"You texted me like ten times yesterday, Jason?" I accused with a raised eyebrow, laughing at his idea of focusing on his studies.

"Well you're different, sweetheart." He said softly, his arm still around my shoulders.

"How does your sisters best friend take preference to your girlfriend?" Lexi asked, and we all burst into a fit of laughter.

"Whatever." Jason said, not seeing the error in his ways. I turned around to carry on fiddling with the dvd machine, when Jason called his friend in. "Dude, we're in here!" I heard Jason introduce each of the girls to his friend, each of them saying flirty hellos. I turned around to see the guy just as Jason was about to introduce me. "And this is-"

"Jordi Graham."

"Harry?"

"You two know each other?" Jason queried while the girls eyed me with raised eyebrows and a questioning look.

"We met today, uh, she got into my car thinking it was her mothers," his eyes stayed on mine and his smile grew as he began telling my embarrassing tale, "yeah, and then she thought I was asking for money."

"Wow, Jordi, that's embarrassing." Jason said, looking at my red, embarrassed face. I simply scowled at him, and moved to where I was sitting.

"Yeah, anyway, are you guys staying to watch the movie, or are you leaving? Because I'd like to press play now." My attempt to change the subject clearly worked, because Lexi clapped her hands in excitement, and Candi snuggled into her blanket. They were on a two seater couch, and I was on another one. Harry moved to sit next to me, just as Jason moved to do the same.

Luckily, Harry got there first, and Jason walked to the chair, frowning at the floor. I had popcorn on my lap, and after pressing play, I offered some to Harry. He accepted, so I put the bowl between us.

Twenty minutes into the movie, I began to feel uncomfortable. I lifted the bowl and bent my legs on the couch.

"You can lay your legs over my lap," Harry whispered, "if you want." He added quickly. Slowly, I lifted my legs and placed them on his lap. I don't know why but I felt so comfortable around him, even if he was just a stranger. I felt like we just clicked. 

He smiled slightly, and placed his hands on my legs. The scowl Jason sent our way didn't go unnoticed by me. During the rest of the movie, Harry shifted closer to me, and by the end of the movie my head was on his shoulder.

"That was beautiful." Candi said, misty-eyed. Harry and I moved apart, sitting awkwardly. I could feel Jason's gaze on us, clearly not happy about what he saw.

"Fantastic." Jason said, getting up, and moving toward the door. "Harry, man, you ready to get your ass kicked in FIFA 16?"

"As if, you're totally going down." Harry chuckled. "I'll be up in a second." He told Jason as he left. "Jordi Graham...I was wondering if, uh, if I could...umm...I mean, if you could, you know, show me around town one day?" He was so adorable, stammering on. "Only if you want to, you don't have to." I could see the girls smirking from the couch opposite us. I don't know why, they're about to lose a bet.

"Yeah, of course Harry! Just let me know when you're free, and I'll give you a full tour." I said, grinning.

"Okay, perfect! Thank you so much, I really appreciate this." I just smiled, he was so darn cute! "Oh, if you give me your number, I'll let you know when I'm free. " shoot and score.

Harry and I switched phones and added our numbers in. I added my name as "Jordie 'the tour guide' Graham." With a little city emoji and a car emoji. I could see the girls shocked faces, wanting to say something, but not in front of Harry. I smirked at them before handing Harry's phone back to him.

"Thanks, and goodnight Jordi Graham." He smiled at me and began his retreat to Dylan's room. "Oh, goodnight, uh, girls." He sent them an awkward wave, and scurried up the stairs.

We sat in silence for a minute or two, I just smiled, proud of my achievement, and happy to be getting free lunch.

"What. The. Frick." Candi said.

"You got game, girl!" Lexi said, and we all burst out laughing.
