Will was used to nightmares. Nightmares. Were a common ailment for all demigods. Now, night terrors were a totally different story. The son of Apollo struggled past panicked healers, pushing them all aside to get to the room causing the distress. Nico's room. Will knew it was bad before he even opened the door. He could feel the chill in the air, sense the darkness, his own shadow began to slither under the door, the floor beneath him cracked. He kicked away the hand of a skeleton around his ankle, pushing the door open with a determined face.

The face fell as soon as he entered.

Nico was thrashing about in his bed, tangled tightly in the blankets and sheets. It looked like he was trying to fight his way out, but that only made it worse. Will wanted to cry. The son of Hades was making these pathetic little noises that could've been screams if he hadn't already shouted his throat raw, his bony body trembled violently, hair was stuck to his face and neck by freezing cold sweat. The healer snapped himself out of his thoughts, moving swiftly to the edge of the bed. He found himself starting to glow, light streaming from his arms and legs as he tried to calm the boy down.

It took a while. A long, long while. Maybe half an hour. However long it took, Nico's eyes snapped open quickly and he lashed out. The shadows rose, swirling around the pair as skeletons pushed their way out of the ground. Will took hold of Nico's shoulders, gently leading the panicked boy to lay against his heartbeat. "Shhh, shhh, it's alright. You're alright, now. I've got you." Will murmured, blinking in surprise when a gods awful sob was let loose into his shirt. Nico wad crying, he realized, suddenly taking note of the slender fingers digging into his shirt and back.

Oh, Nico...

He held him a little bit tighter, being sure the smaller boy could hear his heartbeat, and continued on with his murmurings. Fiercer, this time, more determined. "I've got you. I'm here. I'm not letting you go. I won't let anything hurt you again." Will found himself swaying from side to side, rocking Nico against him as the crying died down. He was still trembling, his face buried into Will's chest as he took shuddering breath after shuttering breath.

Yeah, maybe Nico wasn't exactly what they call 'Okay', but he could be. He just needs a little time.
