I woke up lying on somebody’s bare chest. I thought for one moment who the hell am I already sleeping with when I suddenly remembered, I was in the earth realm. I opened my eyes and found I was lying on Alex’s chest. He had one arm around my waist and the other had an iPod in his hands which he was playing. I moved a bit and then he paused his game. I think it was black ops.

“You’re awake? Are you feeling better?” he asked looking down at me with concerned eyes.

“Better, except I probably look like hell” I smiled. “and why am I laying on you?”

“you cried yourself to sleep. I thought you might need comfort so I put my arm around your waist and you eventually ended up lying on my chest.”

“oh. Sorry.” I mumbled sitting up. I looked beside me to see Aiden laying on my other side.

“no worries. You were hurt so yeah.”

“that’s not why I was crying idiot!” I said punching his arm. “family problems.”

“oh. That explains it. I thought you were to tough to cry about an injury.” He laughed.

“Shut up!” Aiden said throwing a pillow at us, which ended up hitting Alex in the face. I let out a laugh and smiled.

“What’s the time?” I asked not knowing who I asked though.

“It’s half past your ass.” Aiden mumbled.

Alex and I laughed at him. “Its 8:23”

“Oh, thanks” I smiled. I half stood on the bed and jumped over Aiden and landed on the wooden floor. The floor was cold when I came in contact with it but I didn’t mind. I smiled at Aiden who was looking funny at me and then grabbed his skinny jeans and Alex’s shirt. I went into the bathroom and got changed. Just as I slipped the t-shirt on and turned around I realized that was luke was staring at me.

“well hello there.” I said smiling.

“miss me?” he said shooting me a flirtatious look. I ran to him and hugged him. He hugged me back and then pulled back. “I don’t have long so yeah.”

“well what the hell’s up?”

“Your mission. I’m surprised your living with the person you are supposed to tag.”

“What?” I said a bit shocked.

“You’re meant to tag Aiden? Didn’t he tell you? I’m going to kill him.” He said talking to himself.

“Well that makes it easier I guess.”

“You’re going to have to enroll at his school and pay close attention. You’re going to be in his every class and you can do that by using your sway.”

“Alright.”

“So what are you doing today?”

“Going shopping with Michelle.” I smiled.

“Thought you might need some money” he said handing me cash and a credit card. “Just say that your uncle is rich and you found a note in your wallet from him saying that it was a gift or something like that.”

I smiled up at him. “Thanks.”

“You’re welcome.” He said kissing me on the cheek and then disappearing. I heard banging on the door, so I opened it. There stood a very frantic looking Aiden.

“Are you alright?” I asked him.

“God we thought you fainted in there or something!”

“What?”

“You’ve been in there for twenty minutes!”

“Oh. Well I’m fine so don’t worry.”

“I wasn’t worried. I just need to piss.” That hurt. “I’m joking, I was a bit worried.”

“Doesn’t matter. Anyway thanks for worrying a bit” I said pushing past him. When I got down stairs Michelle ran towards me, her wearing skinny jeans and a nice purple jumper, grabbing my hand and dragging me towards the door.

“It’s time to go shopping!” she yelled excited.

“Mind if I come? I need some new jeans and a shirt.” Alex said smiling at me. I smiled back.

“Sure, why not! Aiden! Come on where going shopping and you’re coming whether you like it or not!” she yelled up the stairs.

“Yeah, yeah! I’m coming!” he came running down the stairs with his wallet in his hands. I then remembered my wallet. I had left it up stairs.

“Just a sec” I said running up the stairs, into the bathroom and grabbing my wallet. As I picked it up there was an envelope with my name on it. I opened it to find a very pretty necklace and ring. There was also a note attached.

We never thought you would grow up so fast, but look at you now! You’re practically a women. I know your upset that we never got to say good-bye and that you had to hear it from others that we sent you on your first tag mission, but we know you will do well! We have also given you a ring and necklace that will help control your powers in the human realm. We believe in you always and forever sweetie.

I smiled at the note. I knew it was written by my mum, the breeder. She had neat elegant writing that I would never forget. The necklace consisted of a gold chain with an opal hanging off it. The ring was also gold with diamonds and a large opal in the middle. I slipped the ring on, shoved the envelope in my wallet and grabbed the necklace. I ran back downstairs again and smiled at Alex.

“Can you put this on for me please?” I said passing him the necklace so he could put it on. He took it and put it around my neck. I shivered from the power running through my body.

“Where did you get that?” both Aiden and Michelle asked, mouths dropping open.

“My mum gave it to me before she died” half a lie.

“Oh sweetie! She must have been a loving mum.”

“She was.”

“Well enough about depressing topics! We must be on our way to find something for Gage to wear for school on Monday!”

“School?”

“Yes, we enrolled you in school. I hope that’s alright with you. The principle is my brother after all so I thought it would be easier. Plus you will be in all of Aiden and Alex’s classes!” She smiled. She was making this way too easy for me. It was like she was giving him to me right now. But it won’t be that simple.

“That’s wonderful! Thank you so much for all this, really.” I smiled back.

“Well we will have to get you stuff for school as well so let’s get out of here!” and with that we were on our way to the plaza.
