-Chapter nineteen-

It smelled amazing. The flowers in the field. I was lying on my back in a meadow with so many flowers it was amazing. I picked up a pink lily that was growing beside a tree. Lilies are my favorite flower and I just loved the way the pedals opened. I was moving a long yet I couldn't feel a step.

"Aria." I knew the voice before it said my name. It was Jc and I turned to face him. But instead of the handsome face I was used to there were two giant green eyes and grey fur. It growled and I ran. I was running through the woods until I was surrounded by wolves and yet it was the same wolf. "Aria." I heard again before he jumped at me.

"Aria? It's ok." I couldn't open my eyes, but I knew it was Trevor. He is such a sweet kid. I tried to speak but couldn't. "You're alright. The wolf is gone. We got him. You just rest." It was like that word controlled me because he said rest and I was right back to sleep.

"Hey Aria. I know you're asleep, but I just wanted to let you know I'm happy your ok. And I wish you wouldn't have jumped in the way. It pains me to see a friend in such pain." It was Jc telling me this and I was surprised he couldn't tell I was awake. Where am I anyway? And why can't I speak? And why am I so damn tired?!!!

The light made it so hard to sleep. I mean I love the sunlight cause it is keeping me warm, but come on it's so bright! The light touched just the length of my right side yet it warmed my entire body. But as I blinked I could see that it wasn't the sunlight warming my left side it was a body. Wait. I blinked again. 'I can see!!' I didn't say it aloud, but the body seemed to hear me. He turned over onto his back. It was Kian. My best friend he came to stay with me.

I just watched him breathing, it was peaceful and showing life. I didn't want him to come back to our friendship because of this though. It didn't feel right. But as I watched him I saw a long cut down his arm. It wasn't serious, but it fascinated me. While looking at him I found myself in my room at home. I didn't even notice it was mine.

I heard a faint knock and closed my eyes. The door opened and footsteps came closer to my bed. I fluttered my eyes and saw that it was Andrea. But she wasn't here for me it seemed since she didn't even notice I was awake. She went to tap Kian's shoulder. "Don't," I whispered. My throat was dry and my voice was horse. She jumped at the sound. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." She nodded and went to the door. And before I could ask her what day it was she was gone.

I sat there for five minutes trying to figure out what she was doing, but soon just forgot about it and reached for a glass of water on my nightstand. I went to move my right arm and felt a throbbing pain in my shoulder. And that's when I saw the giant gauze bandage wrapped around my right shoulder. Another thing to question I guess.

I pulled my feet out from under the covers and onto the cool, wood floor. I wasn't wearing what I was last night or I don't think I was wearing these purple, soffe shorts and a t-shirt three sizes too big. I grabbed the water and took a sip. It felt so good going down my throat. I looked at the clock it said it was 7:34 a.m. Hmm, I wonder why Kian slept in my bed. I decided I would go downstairs and get breakfast. I stood and stepped with my right foot. As it hit the floor I fell over. "Well that's not normal," I said it to myself. I caught myself on my hands and knees and got back up. This time when I stood I straightened out my back and that's the reason I fell. It hurt to try to move. I was now all the way on the floor laying on my back. I couldn't help but gasp for air. It felt like someone just squeezed all the air from my lungs and didn't want to let go.

It took a few minutes for me to be able to breathe normally again. Then I tried to get up. It was harder this time. With every movement there came more pain. I finally gave up and just laid in the sun on my back.

I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up I was back in my bed. This time Kian wasn't beside me it was Ricky. I looked at the clock it read 4:48 p.m. How did I sleep that long and not notice Kian leave, being moved, and/or Rocky come in? I looked at him. He was just laying on his left side reading a book about Pokémon. The bed creaked as I tried to turn to get more water and he turned away from the book.

"Aria! No let me help you! Please. Sit back and be still." It was nice to see his face and it matched the words he was saying. I laid back on my pillow as he got my water. "Here." He sat next to me on the side of my bed holding a glass with a straw. I looked at the straw and gave him a look. He laughed and smiled at me. It was great to see his smile and his wonderful eyes. The eyes of color.
