No.....

Thick clouds of swirling snow appeared over the mountain like a huge wave thrashing over a rock. I ran, along side my sister, dodging trees and pouncing over small, rugged obstacles like a snow leopard  searching for its pray. Breathlessly, we continued to run. Unstoppable. Wanting to escape the tsunami of blistering cold snow.

Soon enough the said wave caught up to us, for I could feel the frozen blocks of snow snapping at my back, ripping my fragile skin bit by bit as its claws trying to lure me into its grasp. I begged my legs not to stop and instinctively  grabbed my sister's hand, who was only an inch behind me. 'We can never stop running' I thought 'at least not yet'. A burst of addrelelin ran itself through my veins as I began to move faster, dragging my sister with me, no longer feeling the cold that surrounded us.

We ran faster and faster, and faster, until suddenly. All lay silent, the roaring and rumbling of the tsunami had stopped. Slowing our pace, we came to a slow halt. Looking behind us slowly to see the avalanche had stopped moving. Like it was frozen in time, yet not. The trees around us seemed lifeless and dead, some were slanted from the overwhelming weight of the snow. All that could be heard was the simple moaning of the dead trees, nothing more. It all lay silent, too silent.

I looked to my right were my sister's figure was located, to find that she had a worried look on her face. She gasped and quietly mumbled "the house...". Barely able to hear her, I sprung into action, leaping on the spot whilst at the same time grabbing my sister's hand once again. Sprinting off into the direction of our beloved home.

As our house came into view we both came to an erupt stop. The house.... The house had been obliterated. And in amongst the pile of rubble, Angela spotted a bruised and battered arm. She walked up go it slowly whilst I stood there on the spot. " Nooooo!" She shouted "Mammmaaaaa!" She cried. But all I did was stand there. Overwhelmed. 'She's dead' my breathing hitched in the back of my throat. Slowly lifting my uncontrollably shaky hands up to my face, holding them there. Bit by bit I clawed at my face, not believing what I was seeing. After my sanity had regained consciousness, I fell to the floor, the mix of blood and water dripping off of my face and onto the now stained snow.

Looking up from the snow, teary eyed, yet no emotion in sight I said "so, what's next?"
