Your POV,
"Well what do you have next Y/N?" Your best friend asks you as you make your way down the corridors of your college.
"Eugh Maths," you roll your eyes, knowing that it's not really a fun lesson as such. You hate it.
"Wait that's the lesson you have Tris sitting with you!!!" Your best friend fangirls. Tristan Evans, the popular boy of the school. Every girl wants to date him and every boy wants to be him. Except me. You think he's a jerk, him along with his 'posse', they think they own the place when they don't.
"Yeah, unfortunately he sits next to me..." You sigh, rubbing your temples, knowing that he will just mess around and not do the work. You wouldn't call yourself a geek or a nerd, but it was final year and you wanted to get your grades, so you were trying your hardest.
"Well have fun!" Your best friend leaves you at your classroom door, and you sigh walking in and looking around. When there's no sign of Tris you smile, thinking that maybe he's decided to ditch and will leave you alone. Around 10 minutes into the lesson Tris comes through the door.
"Mr Evans you're late," your teacher informs him.
"I know, I told reception," he rolls his eyes at her and sits at the desk next to you. "Hey nerd," you never quite understood why he called you that, probably because you understood what you were doing unlike him. You ignore his comment and continue working through your maths questions. You feel a hand rest on your thigh and look down to find its Tris's.
"Get off me you asshole!" You put his hand off of your thigh.
"Well I got you attention alright," he chuckles quietly. "Why do you hate me so much Y/N?" He asks, almost pleads, his eyes focusing on you and only you.
"Because you're a jerk. You're up your own ass and you think you own the place. And you're annoyed because I'm not falling at your feet like all the cheap fake girls," you roll your eyes sassily, seeing him speechless for the first time.
"I'm not that bad... Am I?" Is Tristan hurt? You feel guilty for some reason, maybe you shouldn't of said it like that.
"Well... It's just the way I see you..." You say slowly, and complete the next math question. Tris hasn't even started any, he just sits there.
"So all this time I wasn't impressing you?" He seems confused, and so are you? Why would he try to impress you?
"Excuse me? Impress me?" You furrow your eyebrows not sure what to get out of it really.
"I like you, I thought that I was showing you that by teasing you a little..." Oh... You don't know what to say, but you know that you're rather annoyed.
"That's not a way to impress a girl! If you want to impress one buy her flowers and be nice and cute! Not an asshole!" You get yourself worked up, confused by everything that's happening. You put your stuff into your bag and stand up.
"No wait Y/N! Please," he begs. If only his friends saw him like this.
"I don't think I can do this right now," you sigh and turn around, only to be gently held back by his hand.
"If I try?" He begs, he's cute, but can you take it? All of the things people will say? The things you know he does?
"I'll think about it," you smile, satisfied with your reply and walk out.
