The secrets of the forest.

Chapter two

The ride to the secluded area was a bumpy one, though despite being surrounded by strangers Clarke found herself enjoying herself.

"You' re awfully quiet, new girl."

The girl, who Clarke recalled being called Raven stated from  the passenger seat.

"How can you get a word in?" 

She retorted, motioning to Octavia who was singing along with the radio.

"Just do what I do, Talk so loud that she shuts up," Anya stated from behind the wheel.

"You're just jealous because I can sing and you can't." Octavia retorted, earning an

Snort from Anya

"Singing? I'd call that yowling like a dying  cat."

Clarke couldn't help but laugh at the look that Octavia sent Anya.

"Shut up. "

Lexa sighed as she made her way up the tree, cursing under her breath as she tried to detangle the Frisbee.

"next time aim lower! Sometimes I swear you two just want to see me fall on my ass."

She called down to the two kids who watched her every move.

"we do not! Besides, you can't!"

The boy retorted, earning a scoff from the teen.

"Tris, remind me to shove his ass into the lake on our way back," Lexa grumbled as she threw the toy to them

Before jumping out of the low branch, landing on her feet much like a cat would.

"Thanks Alexandria." the boy replied teasingly, only to take off running when the older girl took a step toward him.

"I swear to the great spirit if you call me that again I will personally beat you into the middle of next week." she stated, trying to sound threatening though they all knew that she wasn't even remotely serious with them.

"then you might want to take that back because we all know you'd never hurt Aden." 

turning Lexa saw Anya making her way through the thick timbers, a cooler slung nonchalantly over her shoulder as she moved toward them.

"By the way....we brought the new girl from next door. She's a bit different than the other Maunde and I am curious as to why the hell that she has the aura that she does."  Anya added, setting the  large container onto the ground just as Tris tackled her into a hug.

"Whoa...Damn kid don't break me!" she laughed just as the others made their way through the clearing.

"Oh look, the ice queen does have a heart." Octavia snickered, only to earn a glare.

"shut it, branwoda."

Lexa was sure that they was continuing their bickering but as the blonde came through the trees her eyes instantly gravitated to her.

How on earth can I be this drawn to her? I don't even know her!

Lexa thought before stepping forward.

"I see you survived the ride here with those idiots....Not including Lincoln, of course, he's the only one who isn't bat shit crazy." 

"gee thanks for the vote of confidence, little sister," Anya commented.

Clarke felt as though she could get lost in this brunette's green eyes, which seemed to shine with a ferociousness  and power that seemed just out of place on her. 

"shut up. I'm not that much younger than you....why don't you take those two snacha somewhere to get some of their energy ran down....someone decided to give them an energy drink." 

as she said this Lexa turned to look in Raven's direction, prompting the girl to hold both hands up in surrender.

"Hey, they asked for it and I couldn't say no." 

she stated, earning a snort.

"Well if they get as hyper as the energizer bunny on charge then you better be the one to chase after them, tech girl because they already had me wade a damned creek and climb up that frickin' big oak over there."

Lexa stated then looked toward Clarke.

"Sorry about that. Aden is an....old friend's.....Little brother and Anya decided to foster him when things went south for all of them so I'm a bit protective."

"Oh no, I understand." Clarke stated, then added "Sorry to intrude on you all like this..." 

"It's fine, It's not like Aden and Tris doesn't invite friends and I invited Octavia when we first met." Lexa replied with a shrug before adding "I'm Lexa by the way."

"Don't let her lie to you! her name is Alexandria!"

Anya called, earning a glare over her shoulders.

"shut up Sis!"
