I rolled my eyes as my dad, for the millionth time, gave me a speech about the dangers of riding horses alone. A chuckle escaped my lips as he paced back and forth

"Daddy, I'm 17. Iv'e been riding for 14 years, you can calm down" I smiled as I gave him a reassuring hug.

"I know sweetie, just be careful

" I simply nodded at him as I pulled on my boots, placing my phone in my front pocket.

I jogged out to the stables., pushing the double doors open to reveal the many horses lined up. I skipped over to my horse, Buttercup, and opened her stall. After saddling her up and feeding her a few sugar cubes, I jumped up on her and rode her into the many acres of empty land we own.

You see, we live in a very small town. The population is no larger than 500 people. I know just about everybody here, being the most popular local. Many people own land too, to grow crops, ride horses, go hunting, or anything else it can be used for.

I pulled on the reigns to stopped Buttercup from moving as I saw a boy struggling to walk trough the tall grass. I couldn't help the giggle that passed my lips as he dropped one of his many bags, followed by him swearing under his breath.

"What do you think you're doing out here" I smiled after my words as his head snapped up, his eyes sporting an icy glare.

"None of your damn business" The snappiness in his voice only made me smirk. I rolled my eyes and had Buttercup walked a few paces forward until I was towering straight over him.

"Actually it is, seeing as your in the field my family owns." He just huffed and tried picking up all his bags again, miserably failing.

"You look like you could use some help" He ignored my, once again.

"At least tell me your name" He dropped the bags he managed to pick up and turned to me.

"Niall, happy now?" I nodded and studied his face and realized who he really was. A smile made .its way onto my face as I looked at him.

"That's right, your from that boy band! Not to be rude or anything, but why are you here?" I questioned him.

Instead of answering my question he just sighed "If the offer for help it still up I'd like to take it" He looked up at me sheepishly. I nodded at him and jumped off my horse. I grabbed all his bags and attached them to the end of the saddle, and jumped back on.

"C'mon now, jump on up" I scooted farther up the saddle to give him room. He struggled to climb up, but eventually did so. He wrapped his arms around my waist, obviously sacred. I couldn't help but laugh at him.

"No need to be scared Niall, we won't fall" I nodded into my back.

"I never caught your name" He mumbled. I smiled as we galloped to the barn

"Leah" I replied "Leah Austin, and it's a pleasure to meet you" He pulled away from my back and I heard a laugh escape his lips.

"What's so funny?" I pouted.

"Your accent is so weird" I rolled my eyes at his response. Typical.

"Your accent sounds funny too" I teased him back. I've heard the way he talks before this and really? Who was turdy instead if thirty?

The short ride was over and I pulled back up into the barn, jumping off. I grabbed a hold of Nialls hand helping him get off as well. He mumbled a quick "thank you" before I unlaced his bags and handed him to him.

"What's a big pop star like you doing in this little town?" I questioned as I enclosed Buttercup in her stall.

He sighed "It's a long story."

I sat Indian style on a bale of hay and smiled at the blonde boy "I've got time."
